We lack a legitimate No.1 reciever, i have faith in Ted Ginn but still dont see next year as a break out year for him, and after releasing Booker we are very light on recievers. Take into account we will probably either have Beck or a rookie QB throwing the ball this year we need to give the QB help.

The draft has no recievers anywhere near the top ten picks and it would be foolish to look for a No.1 reciever in this years draft.

with chad johnson staying in cincinnati where do you think we should look?

How about getting a second round pick for JT which would give us three picks in the second round and then maybe using one to get someone like Roy Williams from detroit. Detroit are pretty loaded at reciever and i think they would jump at the chance.

What do you guys think?

Ted Ginn Jr. is our number one. He is a speed demon, who will dominate down the sideline. What we need is a solid number two. Someone big, strong, and capable of being an every down possession receiver on the underneath routes, and across the middle.

The Lions have been shopping around Roy Williams, who is a very good number one.

And if Ginn would be good at the number one position, imagine him at the two. He would burn hand me down corners.

maybe he is on our roster and his name is Ted Ginn.

Ginn and family haven't shown or earned the number one statis. You don't become a number one receiver due to lack of receivers on your team....you have to do it the old fashion way...EARN it.

I second the R Williams notion...he's a freakin monster!

I think having ginn James Hardy (2nd round) and bryant johnson sounds pretty good with hagan too.

Where do we find a 'legitimate' number one WR?

The same place we find a 'legitimate' 3-4 NT. In a magical fairyland where all your dreams come true.

There's no such thing as a #1 WR or a true NT. There's what, five #1 WRs in the league now? Moss, Chad, Owens, Andre Johnson, and Steve Smith? I'm tired of labeling players as #1s and #2s, we need PLAYERS. I don't care who catches it in the endzone, as long as his feet are in and his jersey says Dolphins on it.

roy williams, braylon edwards, larry fritz, Holt
these guys ARE #1 WR's too

we could even look at Javon Walker if he gets released. he does have injury history but he is a heck of a WR.

Oh yeah? Cause i could argue that Fitz and Roy Williams aren't even the most talented WRs on their own teams.

Im just messin around of course, they are #1s, they're fantastic players. But the truth is most these teams got lucky to have these players, or in the Lions case, went out of their way to get them.

There are 32 number one receivers in the NFL actually. The question is whether or not you consider them good number ones.

i could also consider houshmanzedah and reggie wayne as co #1 WR's, because they could be #1 WR's on most other teams
