Well enough of the boo hooing....enough of the picking apart one player or another...it's time to make changes.

Lets start at defense...

I would rather see a different linebacker core...but who? I think Crowder is all mouth...but who can replace him? I'd like to see what Torbor and Walden can do...so I would start with them playing at ILB.

Now at safety...I would replace Wilson with Clemmons...while I will hear some fans say that he's a SS...He has the speed and size to also play FS.
He can't be worse than Wilson regardless.

I would also like to change one corner spot...V. Davis for W. Allen, I can hear the mob now...but Allen has not played well...he also missed a few important tackles last Sunday...and I rather see him at nickle...which should be a better overall position for him...and the Dolphins.

Now for the overall defensive plan...this going after the QB every down crap has to stop...teams aren't stupid...the Colts proved that by beating us with our own stupidty. The Dolphins HAVE to take on the weapons the QB plays with...if you do that...you have a far better chance to get to the QB...You can not let TE's and receivers just come off the line free an clear...you have to bump them off their routes....just like they do to our receivers. Every QB and receiver play is based upon timing...you delay the timing you have a far better chance to screw up the play. Most of the great defense's make you think...they don't blitz every play...but they make you think of where is the blitzer coming from...and they sometimes move defenders back into throwing lanes...something the Dolphins rarely do.

Now for the offense...

I would use Turner across from Bess...yes Bess...I would use Ginn at the slot positon...and use three receivers as much as possible during the game. It's obvious that teams will still try to double up on Ginn...and thats great...I'll take one on one with Turner and Bess all day. Bess can run slants..where Ginn may not...Turner can use his size and arm length to make catches and also get interference calls. If you double up one of the outside receivers..then you have Ginn one on one with at best a safety or a nickle corner...and perhaps a trailing linebacker.

Next...I would either let White be White or just stop using him...it's flat out stupid to bring him into a game and just have him hand off the football...let him be what he is...or don't use him. In that event..I would use Henne as the second QB...and give him some special plays..from time to time.

I would continue the run first and often plan...but the Dolphins need to also game plan throws from time to time out of the wildcat...it's obvious that teams will stack the box or just try to blitz the lanes to stop the running game...so throwing HAS to be an option..a real option.

And the final piece...the Dolphins brass has to acquire some balls...go for the throat attitude...kick when their down. Stop playing not to lose...but to win...if you try and you fail...I can understand your effort...I can't stand that fear is the item that motivated a team.

Great teams think their great...but they backup their opinion with great play. So Dolphins it's time to think and play greatly.

Well thats enough for now...blast if you like...but I would apprecate good and fair opinon...and as always would like to hear your thoughts as well!

its not bess i'm surprised you would use, it's turner. he is unproven, whereas brian "sticky hands" hartline is proven to be a good possession receiver. anyways i disagree i still have faith in ginn unlike most people who jump to conclusions after 2 games, let him blossom guys....

If you didn't notice I didn't say that Ginn shouldn't be on the field...but he should be where he can do the most good.

Turner is as much unproven as the kid that caught a TD pass against the Dolphins Monday. If I remember..Turner had more catches than any other rookie receiver in preseason...frankly I just don't understand why the Dolphins draft players and don't play them.

Ginn can do the most good on the outside not in the slot. You want to keep Ginn away from the LBs as much as possible.

The slot is where Bess does his best work and putting him outside limits that. Just as NE wants to keep Welker in the slot, we should do the same thing with Bess.

As for using Turner across from Bess...well...until Turner regains his confidence and start running routes and catching the ball like he supposed to, he will not see the field.

I disagree with most everything you said. I dont understand why people think Bess is a good reciever at anything but slot. Bess is a slot reciever. Nothing more, nothing less.

There is such a thing as motion you know. If a linebacker can get to Ginn...what can a corner do to him? The purpose is to make Ginn like a welker...get him the ball and give him the room to run afterwards.

Do we really know what Bess can do on the outside? If a teams best corner takes bess out...does that not really help the Dolphins?

I agree with just about everything on defense. Will Allen...very average.

Two players you didnt mention that I think are also "just ok" in the first two games (thats better than alot of our players) are Ferguson and Y. Bell. Nothing special. To read this board, you might get the impression that Y. Bell is the second coming of Ronnie Lott. Hardly. Ferguson is ok, but hes old and he misses on alot of plays.

The offense...its just inexcusable. Where to start?

I'd start at QB...put Henne in. He might suck, but what are we afraid of? Losing games because he misses open WRs in the endzone and can manage the clock at the end of either half? Oh, wait, thats Pennington. Yeah, I'd start Henne and take my chances.

Tedi Ginn is just pathetic. Pathetic. She is just not what we need. To all of you who have said, "this will be the year he develops into Steve Smith"...ROFLMAO. This is the year we can all DEFINITIVELY say "she sucks".

Move JL to RT. Hes not a LT. If you are going to have to help him with the RG on every pass play, hell, you can do that with Nate Garner at LT...Bottom line is, JL Isn't a LT in this league. Freeney was putting him on his *** Mon night. I think at RT he will be a good player. Lets move him there now, and find someone who can play LT. Good news is, we'll be picking early in the draft so there will probably be a good LT avail.

Bottom line is..it doesnt matter which of the WRs we start or play...they are all "second rate". We need a Brandon Marshall or another Legit #1 WR. We don't have one player that can make a play for us dependably at WR. Bess is ok, but the concrete blocks around his feet dont make him dangerous.

Our RBs are good, but both getting are old. We might see what Ronnie could bring on the market. Ricky has no trade value. But Ronnie might be able to bring us a high pick...Ginn (if other teams arent watching our games) might be able to fetch us something as well. I would go with RW and PC as our RBs. Again, what are we afraid of by losing Ronnie? That we might not be able to beat the Colts or Falcons? Oh wait, we cant beat them WITH Ronnie.

I agree with you on Pat White. If Pat White is going to run the Wildcat, then use him like you use Ronnie...Put RW in motion and let PW have the option to hand off, run, or pass. But our genius OC put in a rookie QB, goes straight to the shotgun and runs this poor ******* behind an OL that can't block their grandmothers. ROLFMAO. The only thing worse than our offensive talent are the idiots who make call our plays.

Long days in Miami, boys. Hard times. Oh, and did I say we need a new coaching staff? Get on OC that doesnt have dimentia. Get a Head Coach that doesnt wear maternity clothes and understands clock management.

Do you really buy that confidence crap? Turner played as well as any receiver in preseason...yet now we're told he's not confident..and not running routes...sorry I don't buy that.

I'm starting to believe that Sparano is no better than the rest of the dogs we have had as headcoaches..in the past...they all have their favorites...and play them.

Mr. Ginn, we heard about you when Cam Cameron drafted Tedi. I am sure Cam was right, and you are a great person. I applaud you for doing what any parent would do...sticking up for your (son-or whatever). But this isnt flag football, and this isnt that substandard Big Ten. This is the NFL. And Tedi Ginn has as much business in the NFL as Tony Sparano does in the NBA. Ginn SUCKS!

Whether I believe it or not, there is a reason he has not been activated for either of the first two games.

Turner did drop his fair share of passes during the preseason and training camp so something must be up with him.

Maybe he has a video of Sparano doing something?? :chuckle:

If so..then why does Turner have more catches than any other receiver other than Bess during preseason?

I believe the reason is NOT football related...the same reason why this management deems that a player like White can't do anything but hand the football off...or that they bring in crap free agents like Wilson..and rather play a 35 years old Taylor than wake or Moses!!

Don't you have to question teams when they do things that make you scratch your head. Was it not known that the Dolphins needed receivers from last year...so what do they do...they draft two very decent average running receivers...why not go after a player with speed? Could he not help a team with only one receiver that had speed? What if Ginn gets hurt..then what?

I won't even go into how a team could not be ready to play two games in a row. God forbid.
