Where do we rank now compared to the other 1-2 teams in the league?

Where do we rank now after beating the pats?

Are we out of the cellar now and BETTER than ALL of the 0-3 teams?

0-3 teams:

Bengals
Browns
Cheifs
Lions
Rams
*(Texans 0-2 atm)

**(Chargers 0-2 atm as well and playing the jests)


1-2 teams:

Colts
Jaguars
Vikings
Bears
Saints
Seahawks
*(jests are 1-1 now, hopefully 1-2 after tonight)


IMO, we are better than all of the winless teams with the Chargers as the exception. Although I think we could beat them, I feel they are a better team, ATM.


The 1-2 teams that I think are better than us are:

Colts
Jaguars
Vikings
Saints

I think we are better than the Bears and Seahawks (Beat them 6 or more out of 10 games, IMO)


Out of the winning record teams I think we are better than the 49ers, Panthers, Falcons, Buccaneers, Redskins, AND PATRIOTS! :beer1:

So, ATM, I feel our Power Ranking should be about 14. Now I may be a little biased, but I believe our team can be in the upper half of the league by the end of the season. 8-8 would probably get us there and I would be ecstatic if we managed .500 football this year.

Where do you think we rank after beating the Patriots?
 
Ok.. well i do hope we get to .500.. and blah blah blah.. but since beating a tom brady less patriots (even though i think that is irrelevant, because we DOMINATED the patriot's defense).. but did we forget we lost to the jets.. and got embarrased by the cardinals.. after beating the patriots.. all of a sudden ppl are saying we are the best team.. i think after this bye.. we will return to the dolphins of week 1 and 2.. i dont believe we are in the top 16 teams of the nfl.. i do believe within 2-3 yrs.. we will make the playoffs.. but IMO i dont think we should be in a convo about being a top nfl team just because we beat the patriots.. how bout we keep all these types of subjects until week 8 and beyond.. its too early to talk about our record.. we havent seen much of anything out of our team.. lets wait awhile and see what happens..

I dont think at any point did the original poster say we were a top nfl team. He said 14th best actually and predicted a 500 record.

Come on, enjoy the win for a day or so, Its been awhile since we could
 
too early...we need to be more consistent first
 
We are tied with all of them (before tie-breakers, of course).
 
We will probably be ranked in the low 20's by most sites.
 
Its a hard comparison to make. We're such a Jeckyll and Hyde team. I mean we were in a close game againbst the Jests.. The same Jests that were embrarrassed by our next opponent, the Chargers. We got embrrassed by the Cardinals who looked unimpressive against the Skins.

We need some consistency. As far as comparing against the other 1-2 teams we could be anywhere, it's a matter of opinion. But it's only one win, and until we can muster more solid and consistent efforts I'll keep us in the bottom third.
 
i think the browns and bengals are going to pull it together at some poimt this season. they aren't as bad as they've looked so far. so i think they are still better than us.

and we are the worst of the 1 win teams. but man did we look great on sunday. leave it up to porter to make football players accountable and actually play football.

so we went from the 3rd worst team to the 5th worst after sunday. not too bad IMO.
 
I think a healthy Saints team is better than us, and a healthy Seahawks team. The Bears i don't think are better, and the Jets i think are but by a very small margin. So we're probably the second worst 1-2 team! But since the Seahawks and Saints are becoming injury riddled, the Jets continue to suck, the Vikings are starting Gus Frerotte, this can quickly change. We're also better than the Raiders.

Everyone, but the Rams and KC is better than the Raiders.

Bills almost lost to them. I still don't think the Bills are as great as some people are making them out to be.
 
i think with all the youngsters we have all over the place, we have the ability to look like we did against Arizona on any given Sunday, and the ability to look like we did against New England on any given Sunday. it's weird how it works with these young teams
 
Why not include some 2-1 teams in the comparison?

Let's have a look:

- Arizona : not that far better than Miami, last game Sparano was outcoached with safeties playing linebacker and no one back in deep middle. But on any given sunday, Arizona probably is better but not that much.
- San Francisco : improved, but were close to being beaten in Seattle, imho on par with Miami

- Tampa : didn't seen them yet, maybe above Miami right now.
- Carolina : A decent, solid team, but they will not outgun anybody, so everybody has a chance against them. Even.
- Atlanta : Surprise, surprise, they have some playmakers. But they won only against two miserable teams and lost the other game. Jury is still out.

- Washington : They play in the toughest division, NFC east, solid tough to beat team.
- Philadelphia : Even better than Washington.

- Pittsburgh : As long as Roethlisberger is hurting and offensive line is shaky, things look pretty unsettled on offense. Basically better in talent than Miami, but cloudy status currently.
- New England : Of three games, they played two at home and played against no top level team. Yet no game was convincing. Matt Cassel doesn't click with rest of offense. If things don't improve they're not better than Miami.

Summary: We're not better than any of these teams, but we're not worse than half of them.
