You really can't bash him on that ability, he does have an eye for talent. That much I'll give him, it's the trades that got him in trouble around here.

His "eye for talent" is what got him fired in Miami. If he did a good job and didn't think A.J. Feeley was going to be his Brett Favre, and didn't sign guys like bums like Reggie Howard and John St. Clair to big contracts, he'd still be here.

The guy's eye for talent has been overhyped.

He's not a bad evaluator of talent. That wasn't his shortcoming. Also, if a personnel guy is highly valued he won't remain unemployed for long in the NFL, so who else could ESPN get to do that job? The best guys are all on some NFL team payroll.

I read the article. For those of you who haven't it is about the coaches responsibilities and duties on the sideline and in the booth. About how information is passed from the O Coordinator to the OL coach etc.
