Where is Ronnie Brown's speed ?

Do you know which plays he's talking about?? The first one was against Carolina where he pulled a muscle. The second was when he had to catch Gus's sorry throw from 2 yards out and then get up and try to gain speed. If it had been a good throw, Ronnie scores a TD.

You, my friend, are 100-percent correct. He got hurt on the first one and you could tell it slowed him down. And then the second wasnt really in the clear, he got up, and was still stumbling to get his balance back.

The guy certainly still has alot to prove. So far im not all that impressed.

How bout giving him a season to prove himself. What are you not impressed with? IMO.....He's hard to bring down, he HAS shown speed, he's a good blocking back and he has very good hands.

Not criticizing what you are saying, just wondering what unimpresses you about him?

Please don't group me into the "hes a bust" crowd, I don't think that at all. I think we had very high expectations for him since he was the #2 draft pick but so far he hasn't done enough to justify it. Hopefully in time things turn around. My belief is it's probablly not him who sucks or whatever but he's a victim of the system he's in. Like that old saying "it's hard to soar like an eagle when your surrounded by a bunch of turkeys!"

Thats why I think he has been pretty good, considering the line he is running behind. I think he will get even better as time goes on. I definately did not put you in the "he's a bust" category, I was just wondering what you thought he wasn't doing well. Its all good.

Which means nothing... only that he was the best pick for us at that time.

If we were #3, and Cleveland was #2 and Ronnie was 3rd pick then would people be satisfied?

What about #5?

#10?

#30?

Just curious

OK, either go back and look at the runs, or Think About It People............Ronnie does pull a muscle on the 1st one, and has to get up from the ground on the second, but those aren't even the main reasons for him not scoring. It was the angles of the dfenders!!! They had the right angle to be able to catch him, it's not like he got caught from behind. Ronnie was running straight and the defenders were farther up field than he was and took the correct angle to get him. It's that simple!!!

Agreed. I actually thought it was great heads up thinking by Brown to get up and run when alot of RB's, rookie or otherwise might have stayed down. Give the kid time. He has the tools now he needs the experience.

Agreed -- and they also had head starts on him because they weren't getting up off the ground or breaking tackles 20 yards prior.

Sweet Ronnie Brown sure looks fast to me!

Ronnie's gonna be a good one. I'm actually liking him more than Ricky. He's going to be a more complete runningback.

U see that one handed catch??? Durring the first two games I was thinkin that Xhucky was pulling a fast one to get Carnell when he said Ronnie may have the best hands in the draft. He has made at least 2 "chambers esque" one handers and seems to also catch ones right to him. Why we dont throw to him more I cant understand, not just screens, line him up like 3rd wideout. I know this is not about his speed but I assume you are questioning him overall and I think he will be SPECIAL!!!
