Where is the love for Daboll

never really liked henning but he proved much in the league than daboll.
The dinosaur had a head start. He was playing pick-up games with Moses. Daball is just getting started.

was just saying at least Henning at one point could say he was an effective coordinator. daboll so far has been near the bottom both seasons so this is his chance to either break the trend or be the same guy he has been

Daboll sucks. This regime sucks. Henne is a third string QB. Daniel Thomas is a bust. Jeff Ireland is the worst gm ever.

True it was preseason but damn we looked good! I saw some things we gotta work on. Way too many penalties but we showed lots of potential as a team. This guy daboll is showing a lot of balls. Did u see how many times we went with deep throws? He's keeping these defenses honest. Daboll did a excellent job mixing up the plays. I don't care how he did on the browns this isn't Ohio. He's a phin now so we gotta have his back. Whatever went wrong in cleveland throw that issshh out n keep making new plays for our key guys.

Go Phins!

Where is the love for Daboll?

What kind of a question is that? Has he done anything to deserve love from a phins fan yet?

I dont think so. Show me something in meaningful games and I will be glad to praise Daboll. He is an OC, not a player. And he hasnt really accomplished anything great in the NFL yet for us to be jumping around excited about him being on our staff. If our offense does well this season and it seems like he has a good system, then he will get love. If the offense sucks, Im sure he will hear about it. But, at this point there is nothing to say about him either way.

many of the people that talked about how great and innovative the wildcat was i guess just have selective memory and wanna say henning was horrible. I said from the beginning the wildcat would not keep working and all I got labeled was a hater but sadly i was quite right

So far...just being hired an now being a phin. That gets my love out of the box....but yeah, he needs to prove he can keep it.

Honestly, you guys place WAY TOO MUCH importance on the guy calling the plays. Seriously. Its the actual players who execute them that matter most.

All of you bitching about that end around call........... you will love that call when it works. Blaming **** on play calling is ridiculous. There are certain occasions where it is absurd to call a certain type of play or absurd to not call a certain type of play, I get that. But, 9 times out of 10 youre either in an obvious passing situation and pass or youre in a situation where the entire playbook is open for use and any call is just fine. Its the execution of the play that counts.

Now philosophys and systems..... sure that matters. And thats where the OC makes a big difference. But, in preseason lets not pretend we know how this guy is going to run things in the real games. In preseason you do things for the simple act of practice. You dont go at the defense with a strategy to attack them a certain way based on matchups. Youre trying to examine things against certain defenses and have certain players go against specific other guys in given situations. Therefore, trying to gauge the impact of a new OC in preseason is kind of silly. Preseason is for coaches to figure out which guys are going to make the roster on the bottom end and of the 35 guys or so they know are locks its simply about getting them some reps and having them practice certain specific things. Thats all.

No reason to bash Daboll yet, nor is there any reason to get a hard on over the guy. Just because we throw it deep a few times in preseason dosent mean he is going to dial that **** up when it counts. We will see.

And whos to say it would be wise for him to do it? His QB has to prove that its worth trying outside of the purposes of taking the top off the defense. If you try it enough and never hit it, then the top just isnt coming off the defense even if you do try it. You have to prove to the other coaches and players in this league that you are a legitimate threat to hit that long ball and not just throw it.

i dont know that one season AJ Feeley played qb and we kept doing that out pattern that defenses were just waiting for im sure the OC has to take alot of blame for

Ok, I will be the first to admit that this is only preseason but come on man!!!! You can't see the offense being much better already under Daboll. It still needs to translate to the regular season but I have seen enough to make me a little excited about his formations and play calling so far...

I havent seen enough to get me excited, against atlantas players that will still play its wasnt so effective and against a bad team it was so lets see its a learning process.
