Where is the love for Daboll

Sure, till they give me a reason not to....
I'm a dolphan and support and cheer for those on and associated with the team.

so if we traded for jake delhomme

support is one thing also having an opinion of players and coaches is another

I can still support and show people love even if I don't agree with everything they do....hell, I'm married, get practice at that all the time.
My choice.

I think it's obvious Henning was the problem with Henne's troubles.

Can you imagine, we may not even be scatching the surface on Daboll's playbook. Im sure we have yet to see some creative plays when it counts.

yea but u choose your wife but u dont choose all the dolphin players and coaches but cool for u

Far cry from the offenses we saw under Henning ... What a difference!!!

different does not always mean better results. hell if regular season its working i will give daboll plenty of credit

I havent seen enough to get me excited, against atlantas players that will still play its wasnt so effective and against a bad team it was so lets see its a learning process.

Well I guess that you are just a glass is half empty person... There is definitely a lot of work that still needs to be done but so far our formations are already looking better from the last couple of years... Seeing shotgun being used is a huge step and gives a little bit of excitement about daboll... Sorry but it is true...

CHOSE, to be a phins fan too =) Stuck with it ya know

believe me im a life long fin fan and its painful sometimes and gets old having to live in the 70's to remember our last world championship. marino at least always gave me hope it could happen, unfortunately Sparano just gives me hope the next coach will be better

I hear ya....I didn't catch on till the 80s (was only born in Lauderdale in '78) plenty of frustration then too. I will never deny being blindly devoted though...to me it's just being a fan. Doesn't mean I won't criticize or call for somebody's head when deemed necessary. OR point out piss poor performances. =)

thats your perception. I definately am all for opening up the offense but Im not getting excited about offenive plays working versus atlanta scrubs and the worst team in football. Im not downing him for it either but its preseason. if he makes things happen then I will say damn that daboll did a good job but if the results are bad i will call them as I see them. some people every year get overly excited because they watch a damn preseason game. After we went 11-5 how many of these people were saying that our offense was going to revolutionize the nfl and two year later and two losing seasons later. Im not a half empty guy but back to back 7-9 is half friggin empty. I care less about potential I care about results. we got a new coach the same year as Atllanta and three years later they are 13-3 and we are 7-9. Hell Bill belichek took a team with Rob friggin nickovivh starting and went 14-2 so its just as much about coaching as anything.

Aside from the modern offense, what I liked about this game was Dabool started Henne out with high percentage passes to give Chad a chance to build his confidence and get into a rythym. Additionally, it's obvious Dabool trusts Henne. Henning did neither of these things last year and it reflected in Henne's performance. In the years I saw him at Michigan he never lacked confidence. To me it appears that the relationship between Henne and Henning took more of a toll on Henne then I originally thought.

That said, Henne's issue has been inconsistency. Hopefully Daboll's offense, which is a lot more QB friendly, can help Henne cut down on turnOver's and dumb decisions.

He seems to be doing a hell of a job calling plays he last two games. It's nice to have someone that actually uses star players and gets them the ball, as well as calling plays to Hennes strengths.

Wow...while I do agree with you, you might just catch some flack for saying he calls plays to Hennes strengths. Most people on here don't believe Henne has ANY strengths! LOL

Well as before Henning was just letting Henne get murdered in the pocket last year, Daboll seems to roll him out quite often and if no WR is open has him take off for for a run, he also seems to be having Henne step up in the pocket to avoid the rush which he didn't do at all last year.. While I do think Henne sucks at the deep ball " Gates twice tonight, Hartline once" he played pretty well.. Locks you are more than welcome to your own opinion, and I do agree with some of it that it is preseason, all I'm saying is that from what I have seen out of this offnse thus far I am pleased. I guess you were just happier with Henning in there running the same five plays over and over. Just as i says your the forums negative nancy..
