The great thing about him is he can play all the lb positions. He is probably best at the ilb. So he will play there in the 3-4, until Zach decides he is ready to leave.

Because of personnel, they want to use both defenses. How much will depend on game situations. It keeps teams guessing and makes it difficult to game plan for.
 
Uhhh, probabaly where he played all along last season?

He was an ILB in the 3-4, and Weakside Linebacker in the 4-3.
 
If Miami goes into a 3-4 defense then I'd say he play next to Thomas on the inside. Last year I repeatedly saw Crowder running sideline to sideline making tackles and can also stuff a runningback coming up the middle.
 
It depends, if we get ahold of say Greenway I can see us starting the season with Chrowder & Hodge outside & Zach & Greenway in the middle and if we don't Zach & Chrowder inside with Hodge & Spragen/Pope outside but they'll flex Chrowder outside. The thing with Chrowder & Zach up the middle is they have a freakin nose for the ball so it doesn't matter where they are they'll get to the play.... and I'm sure you'll see capers & saban mixing it up in the more 3-4 oriented D
