Where the first three quarters of bad play poor coaching or where we just getting out played?

My answer to your question. I posted this in another thread:

I'm as excited as anyone about the win. But a win, even one that is exciting as this one, doesn't mask the fact that this team has problems that CAN be corrected. And the problems aren't jsut with the players- period. You guys who are calling people out for being angry and frustrated are blinded by the excitment of beating a BAD Bills team that had us on the ropes. GReat win for us. I love it. But this team is a very slow starting team. If we start like this against San Diego next week, we get killed. It's that simple. Someone has to light a fire under this teams *** so that we aren't playing from behind constantly. Because 90% of the time (or more) a team won't be coming back from a 21-0 deficit.
Some people are such homers that they refuse to look at the entire picture, choosing instead to look at the "prettier" side of everything. Then you have those who are downright pessimistic - beyond pessimistic, bordering on outlandish and ignorant. These people get on my nerves worse than the ones who wear the rose colored glasses.
I consider myself a realist. We have some potential, some talent. Our players are inconsistent. Our coaches, all the way through, are still learning and therefore are making mistakes that will obviously be corrected. One of the things I think the coaching staff needs to improve on is having this team mentally prepared to come out fired up EARLY in the game and playing with passion. This team has a serious problem with slow starts and falling behind. When that happens, it totally alters our game plan. If we are always in the situation where we have to alter the game plan, then it hurts our chances to see what our team can do in terms of executing what we WANT to do instead of being dictated by the other team. This team, because of it's failure to ever get an early lead (instead constantly falling behind) has not shown any sort of offensive rythm since the Denver game. Even against Carolina, I felt we were sporadic. This can be corrected IF we can come out a little more prepared and jump on the team early and WE dictate the pace of the game. This team, in the past 6 weeks or so, has not shown any early game fire or determination that is necassary to be competitive early. Cleveland is a perfect example of being flat and not being able to dig out of that hole. If the fire isn't turned on to start the game, then it's very hard to turn on as the game progresses. (This is what I tell the boys I coach)
If someone, anyone, denies that slow starting isn't a problem, then they are out of their minds. If they say that the coach is blameless in this situation, then they are also crazy. It is the coaches responsibility to get this team ready to go out early and execute and play with desire. Ultimately, yes, the players have to do it. But since this is happening week after week, you have to believe the problem is coming from both parties and needs to be addressed.

Outplayed. On that first TD, Daniels mis-timed his jump. Chambers had the fumble. Nice punt return for the Bills. Nothing was going our way.

Whether your playing against a SB caliber team or one who is 1-10, your players has to make more plays than the other team to win...

The last 2 weeks this team has done it...

We did not do it against NE or Atlanta...

As Saban says they have to get consistant on execution...

Its only been 11 games... and now Saban has as many wins as BB had when he took over NE...Give it some time, not some games...
