One week we were all ready to crown this guy as the next LT and this week he has 40 yards! I know the Texans dline is good, but come on. Our running game was shut down today. Are they putting more guys in the box against us or what? Why is it we have two "elite" running backs and ronnie gets 40 yards while ricky only gets 50? Is Soprano trying to monitor his "play count" for this season or something? Does this go on coaching, the oline, ronnie and ricky, or pennington not stretching out the d?

They didn't really even use him

I think they threw a couple passes his way, and of course gave him the 10 carries, i remember the bulk of his carried were on only one drive where he had like 4-5.

I think the offensive effort was good enough to win this game though, so i'm not really upset with that. Ronnie made a huge play down the stretch to help us take the lead, the defense let down.

The OL didnt open up many holes, and Ronnie wasnt fed the ball, its as simple as that, Ronnie Brown is a stud, anyone with a brain can see that.
And yet the moronic haters will come...

The tone of the offense was set when instead of using him on 3rd and 1 in the very first possession, a 4 receiver set is called.

I didn't realize RB calls the number of rushes he gets. And at least get your stats right before aimlessly bashing.

We saw what happens when you give brown 20+ carries last week and we saw this week and the first two weeks what happens when you dont give him his carries. We just have to stop this 50'50 crap and go 80/20 for brown cuz he is the better back atm in there carears.

seemed like ronnie was limping after one play, don't know if any of you guys noticed it. dont know if it was his surgically repaired knee or not but hope things are alright with him.

for all you idiots that are calling me a ronnie hater now reread what I said. Ronnie is my favorite player. I simply asked who was to blame for his bad game. And sorry for my stats being 10 yards off. Ill go check NFL.com next time before I post! get a life dude.

so your not disappointed that Ronnie didn't have a field day against one of the worst run defenses?

He averaged 3.8 yds and a TD on limited carries. Oh, and another 43 in the air. How about getting him the ball more?

Not a hard explanation. The Texans did a good job of gameplanning vs. our running game and the Wildfin (prefer this name to Wildcat). They had two games of film to gameplan around and their DL is actually one of their strengths. When our RBs are held to under 100 yds we live and die on the short passing game with a lot of Fasano. We have a qb who does not have the arm strenght to get it to Ginn deep so we must call plays to fit what we have.

Even still we can win enough games when the running game is contained with solid D but we will need some luck and TOs. Today the D came unglued at the worst time. If Goodman had wrapped his hands underneath the ball before it hit the turf we would have been talking about how great of a D stand we made to hold them off. But that is the only reason. We our D gives up a 4th and 10 coversion to extend a drive in the last minutes of a game we deserve to lose.

Why is this even being discussed? We scored 28 points today so obviously offense wasn't the problem.

Dude, this game hurt, really stung me anyways. Ronnie is a beast, just didn't get the touches today, one of the "problems" was that we scored from long range, which took down the number of offensive plays.

Ronnie showed what he was made of on the last drive, keep in mind guys, we are NOT looking at a finished product. God himself could not have fixed all that was wrong with the Dolphins in one year. We are going to have problems with defenses not respecting our downfield passing game all year, which in turn will hurt our running game.

Keeping everything in perspective, I was hoping we would be playing competitive .500 football by the END of the season, imo were ahead of schedule.
