where we are headed:

Has been considerable hype over the race in free agency & the up-coming draft between the Dolphins & Patriots. Everyone speculating on the ultimate test in 2009 of the number one & two Franchise in the AFC east.
I have two of comments to make:
1) I view the NFL as an entity of extreme parity, where even the Cardinals can come from relative obscurity in one season & compete in a SuperBowl the next.
2) I see, especially the Patriots, also the Jets & to a lesser extent the Bills heading in the opposite direction relative to the Miami Dolphins.

The process that is unfolding in Miami is an up-swing & rebuilding project from the ground up. It is rock solid & totally comprehensive in scope. We are developing a team that will be a parenial competitor.
I see the AFC east in complete apposition to what is occurring under the TriFecta. What I see is patch-work attempts & an inevidable downward cycle for the Cheaters, the jests & the TOthrills of Buffalo NY.

Just an observation & opinion. I am no pundit, just a fan. But, as I see it time is on our side .

We will Contend in 2010 not because the project is over, we will be in year three of a four year process, but because they will be bottoming out & have to restructure to be competitive.

the future is all about fish

I actually find it interesting that the Pats do seem to be deviating a little from the plan that brought them such success... I guess it's a sense of urgency with question marks surrounding Brady and an aging core.

Although they do have four bullets in the gun in the first day of the draft... Ugh.

I do love our direction and our unwavering sense of calm... I don't read any panic in any moves our FO make and they keep the cards close to their chests. Obviously this puts alot of pressure on the draft as we still need to find kids that can step in right away but based on last year's class, I'm pretty excited to see what they have up their sleeves.

We all been saying this for the last 20 years.

Couple more years and were getting in!

I gave up on that.

Just build up some momentum and run with it as far as it takes you!

Like we did last year!

Ride a wave...we just need to get on one again....start off were we finished last year.

One thing the Pats always seem to do is go into the draft with no real holes to fill. They adressed their secondary in FA this yr and will probably draft some guys to take over for the stop gaps they signed. I think next off-season you will see the phins doing the same thing. Right now there are just still to many holes to fill.

Friend WhatsUP:
apples & oranges. not to worry.:D
didn't have the right architect, the engineers & construction crew were incompetent.
look at the foundation laid last year. the future is solid. patience.

I am confident. People with huge expectations for FA's this year IMO are at least a yr to early. On the other hand I am really holding out hope that the Pats trade for Peppers. It will be IMO the beginning of their end.

about the patriots:
:D Their end began with their humiliating defeat @ the hands of the Dolphins in their own stadium.
Now they begin a series of rising & falling, each time they will fall a little lower until Belicheat is replaced
The Cheaters will be left with fond memories of their almost perfect season & their legacy of cheating. Nothing else.:hump:

Agreed RIO.

The monster that is NE will eventually implode. Its only a matter of time. Their D Was old to begin with, then they lost a bunch of players. Then they add a bunch of veterans with hefty contracts. Brady and his WR's are only getting older and Free Agency will start affecting that side of the ball very soon.

Lets not overlook the coaches they have lost the last 2 seasons, who imo are as big a loss as any player they could loose, save Brady.

I think their time is ticking and its clearly showing in some of the transactions that Billicheat is pulling the trigger on.

I think the nail in the coffin will be when they start giving up picks. As of right now, they are still sitting on a **** load of picks and could retool quickly with how valuable those low rounds picks are.

I like one of the previous posters mentioned, would love to see Peppers go to NE for a pick or two. This will only begin the process of imploding just a little sooner.

there will be up & downs. each down will lower the bar a little bit more until they are no longer a factor in the game. the direct opposite can be said of Miami. we are the future.

Bill Belichick's Patriots; Nemesis

http://msn.foxsports.com/nfl/story/9348204/Schein's-Nine:-Belichick-piecing-together-title-team

Although I didn't think it possible, I hate the Patriots even more after reading this article than before.

I wonder if Parcells and Ireland read this dribble.

Do you guys buy this swill???????

I agree that the Patriots have been smart and aggresive this offseason. I even agree that they have improved their roster more than the Dolphins have improved theirs, but this guy goes too far IMO.

I think this article should be posted at the training facility. Actually I think Sparano should read it to the team when they all gather.

You guys really think the Dolphin brass is concerned to the extent we are? As long as they put a good product on the field we can compete - let the chips fall where the may!

The Pats decline began IMO when they lost to the Giants in the Super Bowl. It was only obvious the phins and pats were headed in opposite directions starting shortly thereafter.

I do like how Bill, Jeff, & Tony are incredibly calm, patient, & are playing things close to the vest. It would have been interesting to see the chess match between Saban & Belichick unfold but Nick let his ego & inferiority complex get in the way of implementing his process. We'll never know if Saban would have been successful as an NFL coach.

I do see desperation and panic taking place in Foxboro and Buffalo. It seems the jest are always revamping things. JMO; the jest have a massive collective inferiority complex as a franchise. Alot of the FA moves made after the 07 season were a direct result of the G-men winning the Super Bowl and their being the #2 franchise in the Big Apple. Then, there are the issues they have always had in dealing w/ their divisional rivals.

The last time the AFCE was the best division in the entire league was when Miami & Beefalo were the dominant teams. I just don't see the Bills regaining that form... call it market size or whatever. I'd bet by Mid Oct that the cold and boredom that is Western NY causes Terrell to implode yet again.

I, too, think there is alot of desperation in Foxboro though the organization and fans will NEVER admit it. As I see it, they are pretty much betting the farm that Brady returns to '07 form. I wish Tom B no ill will but doubt this happens. His injury reminds me of what happened to Culpepper after his monster season. They weathered Crennel & Weis leaving and they will get through McDaniels leaving. The biggest obstacle for the pats is Pioli leaving.

It took awhile for the cracks to develop in the 49er organization after Walsh & Montana left. But it happened and look at them now. Isaac Newton once said what goes up must come down. Just like the Pats decline; Miami's resurgence will take place. Rome wasn't built in day! For all of you frustrated that Parcells and Co are doing enough or anything IYO, I have one word of advice... Patience

i dunno if i consider the pats as declining.. they seem to me that they will always be a contender some how.. i dont like it but that seems to be the reality of it
