QB: Harrington is an average starter. Culpepper could be a bust or back to a Pro Bowler next year.

RB: Brown is an excellent all around talent (blocking, catching, running) but he is not a game changing RB yet.

WR: Chambers is a #2 WR until he can demand the ball and catch it consistently. A #1 WR makes plays. Booker is an above average #2 WR but he’s not a game breaker. Welker plays 100% every play and should be an example for Chambers.

TE: I think McMicheal just dropped another pass. McMicheal is way too inconsistent. His blocking deficiencies would be tolerable if he could consistently catch the ball.

OL: Carey is the only player on the OL that is consistent on a below average line.

DL: They are playing good but age is really becoming a factor.

LB: Where are the big plays? Thomas is a tackling machine but has become a liability in pass coverage. Crowder is playing well but is not an impact player yet. Can you even name the other LB’s?

DB: W. Allen and Daniels are average starters. They can hold their own but there is no clear #1 shutdown corner to make plays. The safeties are below average. The jury is still out on J. Allen and Bell.

K/P: Mare is not worth the money he makes. Jones is average.

So the Dolphins need to upgrade at WR, TE, T, G, OLB, CB, S, K all while other positions get older. Of course QB, DT, DE, and MLB all could be problematic in the future. The OL getting an overhaul could mask a lot of the other position’s problems. There is no easy answer for Saban.
