2. Miami Dolphins: Owner Stephen Ross is desperate to land a big fish in a coaching search and Kelly's the perfect offseason/press conference victory for a guy who loves to bathe in the limelight. There are offensive pieces here with Ryan Tannehill, Jarvis Landry, DeVante Parker, impending free agent Lamar Miller and rookie running back Jay Ajayi. The roster is saddled with Ndamukong Suh's contract, but a good defensive coordinator could work some mojo if the Dolphins can manage to ease their roster churn. One (major?) downside: This franchise did can Kelly's old quarterbacks coach Bill Lazor. Another one: You have to go against Bill Belichick twice a year.

I really hope not.

He was the Titans coach the second they drafted Mariota.

If Tennessee wants him, he lands there. He is better off suited for college. Would not be surprised if he choose to go back to the coach college.

Who the hell writes this stuff. How the hell is landing Chip Kelly a big fish or a perfect press conference victory for him lol.
We will probably have to settle for a lower tier guy anyway but this part of article makes no sense

I wouldn't be surprised at all if Ross throws a ton of money at Chip Kelly to get him and we end up winning 4 games the next two years before he's ****-canned.

If Kelly comes to the Dolphins it probably mean a conversion to a base 3-4 defense and that would be a very good thing. IMO, that change would immediately sove the LB problem, especially if Dion Jordan returned a more mature man and physically ready to play the position on the field that he was perfect for instead of having some dumbass try to make him a 275 pound 4-3 DE.

Draft Bronson Kaufusi in the 2nd and sign Pot Roast and Haloti Ngata and the DL becomes dominant and elite in run stopping and pass rush.

I think a Chip Kelly offense run by our new QB Carson Wentz would be very successful.

Ya, I think we would be playoff contenders but there has to be a serious challenge to Tannehill. If it were me, I would trade Tannehill.

I like Chip Kelly. He wouldn't be my first choice but I like him a lot more than most of the names being thrown out there.

The cap hit for trading Tannehill is way too much

Suh is not a 3-4 player. We saw early this season when Kevin Coyle was coordinating when he was assigned to two blockers. He was invisible - he is not a nose tackle.

The coach that will join this team next will have to run a 4-3 - the team has invested too much into him to ignore this. Suh and Jordan Phillips will anchor the interior defensive line for the next three seasons at least.

For what it's worth, I think there is a very good chance Chip is our next head coach if he's serious about not wanting personnel control.

I'm... I don't know. I honestly think he has some really good traits as a coach, but on the flip side his offense just doesn't work when it's not being run at a blistering pace. It won't be run at a blistering pace in year one. He's also made a habit of running his best players out of town.

Better than Philbin? Hell yes. Immediate upgrade. Ideal candidate? No.

Yeah....when will it sink in to some of these guys that Tannehill is gonna be the QB no question for 2016 at least......there is no way they can trade him or exercise the "out" clause until 2017 so he's here until then and all this "trade him" talk needs to stop until the end of next season.

And lets see another coach and another staff really take a look at him...Sean Payton, Hue Jackson, somebody that knows quarterbacks. I'd take Jason Garret or Tom Coughlin here too if they get fired.
2016 will be the year of Tannehill...frankly he's deserved the look by the next staff, and since NFL people (and by NFL people I mean *actual* NFL people and not armchair message board general managers and wayward fans trying to cope with disappointment) seem to like Tannehill, he will probably improve the chance of a good name coming here.

Of course he isn't a NT, WTH? Suh would project as a 5-technique and I have very little doubt that he would flourish at the position and challenge JJ Watt for the top player at that position in the league. Pot Toast and Jordan Phillips would project as the NT's.

The Dolphins are certainly not prohibited from trading Tannehill. If they get the compensation they want they just eat the dead cap hit over two years like all the other teams who have traded big money players.

Keep in mind, we may have a new FO to go with new coaches. They will reshape the team as they so choose and they may make some radical changes.

I don't understand the love for Chip Kelly. would rather have Payton or Hue Jackson or McDaniels
