Where will the dolphins offense rank this year?

Im gonna go out on a limb here and say somewhere between 1 and 32....
no but seriously i think its too early to come up with an accurate prediction. My wishful thinking says somewhere around 15 but I need to see how things develop in training camp.

I think around 20th overall....it takes a while for a rookie RB and a relatively new QB in either AJ or Gus to learn the system.

Offense 14
Defense 7
Dolphins 9-7 make Wildcard get put out first round in a heartbreaking game.

well, given some improvements on o-line and more improvement at WR and now he has a RB he can hand to or throw to, feely better produce more this season, id think were in the range from 12-18 overall, our running game should give us a boost

sounds about right.

Name 24 teams with better offensive talent. If Linehan can't get any better than 24th in the league with the talent this team has at the skill positions, he should be fired.

I think this team's trouble is on defense. The last time I noticed a thread like this, I predicted:

Offense: 10th
Defense: 20th

I see little reason to change now.

the defense will be way better then 20th thats an insult to the talent we have, just having a good philosophy like Saban has for us makes us better. Not to mention that we have two HOF worthy LBs plus a HOF worthy DE

That's actually just what I was thinking. If you look at all the teams 17-24 is right around the area we probably would be.

What talent is this? We have Taylor, Thomas, Madison, and Seau returning. I'm only penciling in Seau as a starter at this point. That's a lot of new starters, a brand new defense headed by a coordinator who doesn't excite me and a first year NFL head coach. The team has already lost Poole for the year, and a rookie is running with the first team at CB. We have a bona fide hole at safety that may or may not get filled. Our truest two gap defensive linemen are both coming off of injury, and we haven't gotten that kid (who may well be a developmental prospect) we want in the supplemental draft yet. As you mention, there is also a change in defensive philosophy that may or may not render our best defensive personnel less effective than they have been (particularly while things are getting figured out).

We do have a lot of potentially exciting players coming in on defense, but you can't count on additions to all come together to form a whole. Look at the Redskins defense -- it was in the 20s in 2002 and 2003 with more name talent than they had in 2004 when they ranked 5th.

This will be a good defense...I just don't expect it to come together as quickly as the offense.
