Watching the Saints parade has made me wonder where a Dolphins parade would be? Miami has some recent championships with the Marlins in 1997/2003 and the Heat in 2006. Were they all in the same location? I assume a Dolphins parade would be much larger.

By the way the Saints parade is on cnn and nfl network if your interested, I think it's also being streamed online. This has to be the first time a sports parade has been nationally televised.

I would imagine should we be lucky enough to witness a SB victory parade, it would be through downtown Miami. I believe that's where the Heat and Marlins parades were.

Start at Sun Life Stadium
Go West to NW 27th
Go south to Carol Mart
Go East down NW 183rd
End at Tootsie's Cabaret

lol

Joey Porter and Luke Skywalker leading the parade.

Can we worry about that when we win one again. Or at the very least until we win an AFC championship again.

We'll find out February 2011.

Yeah, we need to take it one game at a time and not overlook any of our opponents until then because somehow that matters as fans.

Forget about the formal activities. The parade would be on every street. That's what I remember from '72 and '73, unleashed exuberance. People held homemade bedsheet banners out near the road in front of their house, celebrating the Dolphins. Cars honked every few seconds while driving past. Sometimes the bedsheets were partially out in the road so you had to slow and maneuver past. Everyone waved hankies, which was the staple of that era. It went on hour after hour.

My favorite aspect was meeting the team at the airport. It was at night. My parents took my sister and I. Initially we were far away from the plane, once it arrived, but I convinced everyone we needed to be pests and wiggle our way forward. It was simple for me as a kid but I remember my mom being somewhat embarrassed and apologetic. Decades later it was well worth it. We ended up less than 15 yards away and watched the ceremony unfold. The players, Shula and Robbie emerged from the plane to thunderous applause, then stood on a plain wide platform, which was placed parallel to the plane, and gave brief speeches while waving the Lombardi trophy in the air. Someone from the local sports media was the impromptu emcee and asked questions.
