Where's Jake Scott on the Honor Roll?

Super Bowl MVP; retired number... I think he is a better football player than Dick Anderson...why isn't he on the ring of honor yet?
 
i dont believe he played with us long enough for this honor. i could be wrong though. i believe he played with the skins also, ironic huh?

There's some bitter history as to why he isn't and probably won't ever be in the ring of honor.

Scott had a bitter falling out with Shula and has washed his hands of anything to do with the Dolphins.

His name won't ever be on that list IMO.
 
do u guys think surtain or madison are ever going to make it into the fins ring of honor?

It will never happen. Jake has distanced himself from all of the 72 Dolphin celebrations. He and Shula had many years of acrimony. Don't hold your breath.
 
I like how Shula maintains Anderson and Scott were two of the best safety tandems ever in NFL history...and he`s right. Scott was awesome, just one less career interception than Anderson, in four fewer years, and more Pro Bowls. Too bad he isn`t going on that honor roll alongside Dick, but Jake probably doesn`t give a s***. Shula really screwed up when he made that trade.
 
Even his old teamates have given up on him.There is no contact whatsoever.

Its a shame.Greatest pair of safeties that ever played the game.I remember a game where Anderson had five interceptions,two for TDs against the Steelers no less.Anderson was a RB in college so he knew what to do with the ball once he intercepted.

Scott could be dominating too.Smart player as was Anderson.
