Where would Ronnie go in this years draft, personally I think he and reggie bush would be fighting for #1 but both would go in the top 5

Ronnie would probably be #4 - #7 depending on team needs.

He would certainly be behind Bush, Young and Leinart.

Remember, he wasn't a consensus #2 pick - he was the guy Saban wanted. He couldhave slid last year if someone other than us was drafting #2.

This is not a slam on Ronnie. I love the dude. But the top of last years draft was not half as hyped as this years, not close.

He wasn't the consensus #2 because Saban was telling everyone he wanted other players. Most people considered him the best player in the draft. I agree though that he would probably be #4.

I agree. I was going to say somewhere between 4 and 7. Bush goes ahead of Ronnie because of his dominance and that little thing called the Heisman. There are two QBs that would more than likely go ahead of Ronnie too. (Leinhart, Young) after the top three picks, it becomes a question of need. The Jets are in need of O-line help. Ronnie would be a big possibility here because of Martin's age. If the Jets don't pick him here, Ronnie could fall as far as #10. Green Bay needs defense and WR help. Oakland has Lamont Jordan. After Oakland, it's anyones guess. Hell, for that matter, the whole thing is anyone's guess.

Yeah no way Ronnie is # 1 or even two this year , not a knock just a fact. If Ronnie played without Caddy probably would not have better year than Bush.

i would say 7-9th pick cause there is a helluva lot more talent in the draft this year

I agree, but I'm assuming he had another year of college with no cadillac

Ah. Sorry, I misunderstood.

In that case... wow, no telling. Sorry, I don't know enough about Auburn to know how that would have worked out for him.

I don't recall most people thinking that. Perhaps you're right, but I think last year was a wild year without much consensus at all about the top players, let alone their exact ranking.

I saw "expert" mocks last year with Ronnie anywhere between 2-12.

In actual straight up rankings I saw him anywhere between 1-10. Remember that the way Ronnie was used in college made him harder for some to evaluate... Saban may have had him lower if he hadn't actually played and game-planned against him.

Also it depends alot on needs in a draft I mean some great prospects were drafted pretty late that were as good or better than Ronnie.

Steven Jackson
Larry johnson
Deuce McAlister

Those guys didn't have the draft grade Ronnie did. This years 2nd and third RBs could go in the top 20 and I think Ronnie easily is better than they are. But this years draft is one of the strongest in recent memory and last years was one of the weakest. I still think Ronnie would go in the top 10 easy with the possibility of going as high as 4.

I agree. I would say #4 or #5.
