After 3 preseason games I haven't seen one attempt at going deep. I thought we had the same offense as last year?

Its Pre-Season,we'll be alright...

Dude, reeeelax. It's preseason. They will use it when appropriate when the real games start. There's no reason to empty the playbook now. This is glorified practise time.

If anything, they should be running plays they are not proficient at to get reps at it so they can improve. Did you see the 35 yd strike Culpepper hit Chambers with in the endzone yesterday? (called back on a very suspect penalty). While not a true 'deep ball' it was a hint of things to come. They'll take their shots downfield you can be sure of that.

Don't expect deep balls like when Linehan was here. Mularky is a lot more conservative. Expect more "Wanny ball"

Harrington has thrown in deep a couple of times. Daunte thrown it deep once.

you mean like when Buffalo was up on us by 23 points and they continued to throw the ball? The arguments I heard from buffalo is that he didnt run the ball enough.

But if anyone was paying attention, we are building up to the big stuff after we get the idea of controlling the ball and converting third downs. Which we have been good-great at. Whats the big dilio?

We're not the Oakland Faiders. We will go deep when the opportunity presents itself...I am sure DC will air it out to Chambers, Welker and Booker as soon as he gets the chance.

Funny you mention that yesterday watching the game i was like throw deep Dc but never happened

Culpepper did go deep to Chambers last night. Chambers caught it in the endzone, but it was called back for offensive pass interference.

Everybody makes a good point, in that it is preseason, so why tip our hand before we need to, but still, it would be nice to see Culpepper take a seven step drop and fling it 60+ yds every once in awhile. The TD to Chambers that got called back was a great play by Chris, adjusting to an underthrown ball.

Dont need the deep ball in pre-season. I'd rather see Cpep get in sync with his weapons rather than bomb the ball down field. We already know he can do that, lets work on all the timing and then the deep ball can be unleashed during the season.
