The Patriots Monday Night game is fast approaching and no sign of a running game. You can't expect to win many football games with out a balanced running game unless your QB is Dan Marino or Peyton Manning. This needs to get fixed real quick or we are in for trouble on Monday night and we cannot afford to fall behind the Patriots if we want to win the division. Why the Dolphins let go of both Ricky and Ronnie is puzzling since most fans here would've at least held on to one of them. We all like the addition of Reggie Busch, he will be a threat in the open field, not really between the tackles like Brown and Williams were. Could it be that newly acquired RB Larry Johnson will get more carries considering he is built more for running between the tackles than Busch or Daniel Thomas are? If the front office was looking to revamp the running game this past off season..then why did they pass on Mark Ingram? No offense to Mike Pouncy, I think he will be a great center for years to come, but Daniel Thomas is not in the same league as Mark Ingram..hope he proves me wrong...I wouldn't bet the house on it though.

Thoughts?

I'm not worried about the running game. It is obvious this offense is going to be pass first and more and more it appears the season is going to be placed entirely on Chad Henne's shoulders. Reggie Bush was brought it to be a spark plug, and he does that best by catching the ball out of the backfield. The run game will improve as the season goes along.

I think I was referring to the running game and not the pass rush.

Even Cam Wake has been non existent on the pass rush. The only time it seems we generate any pressure is on overload blitzes with the CBs. Mike Nolan has his work cut out for him this year if they don't pick it up soon.
I think he means the running game...

Right because Wake wasn't pressuring Josh Freeman every time he rushed. And what people above me said.

Sorry to hear about that..Hurricane Irene was a beast for sure.

If our O line had average play last night, bush probably wouldve put up monster numbers

Weather it's the rush on the qb or the running game he's talking about, it's likely that the coordinators arent showing too much before we start the season that counts.

I sure hope you are right about that because 27 yards rushing will not cut it at this level.
