I remember asking this at the beginning of the season. What happened to the up tempo attack that Philbin said he was installing 2 years ago? The offense was supposed to be about rhythm, wearing the defense down, dictating a certain pace to keep a defense from substituting thus dictating matchups. Wasn't that why Philbin put in the practice innovation of having back to back 7s on 7s going? This offense was supposed to always beat the opponent in number of plays run.

Chip Kelly stuck to his guns and got the offense he wanted, and you can argue that the players will be better next year in executing. The Patriots have been running an up tempo system for a couple of years now.

If no one believes me, check this out. http://www.miamidolphins.com/news/a...Right-53/0a36243b-e718-4fd6-8543-3deeee4b456e

Go, go go.

But seriously, I can't even figure out what type of offense we are running. There doesn't seem to be a coherent plan. It definitely isn't up-tempo.

I think the plan was to go no huddle at some point this season and that was rendered impossible when we brought in Bryant McKinnie and lost Incognito.

I have no idea. I was saying the same thing today. Why dont we no huddle? Why dont we play more fast pace? Why dont we switch up the cadence from time to time? Why dont we use Go for draws and Go Go for Play actions? Why dont we make offensive adjustments? Why doesnt Tannehill use the fake "go's" more to try to read the defense more and keep the defense off their toes?

So many questions. Mostly pointing towards the coaching staff.

It's not like when we went hurry up or up tempo like at the end of a half or a game we ever scored....oh wait....it's almost at times like the coaching staff forced us to play so blah on O.

A HC who doesnt know what his offensive identity is coupled with an even worse OC

The two practice fields going at once, Thursday off days...Joe has tried to be innovative and has not translated to much on the field.

Completely slow offense, no hurry up, too much shotgun, not enough running. Sounds like OC was the problem here. Get him out. Now.
