What To Expect From The Dolphins’ Rookies - Miami Dolphins

With the 2021 offseason underway, including minicamp, how are the rookies looking and what can we expect from them in the upcoming season?

If Jalen Phillips is used correctly I think he could wreak havoc as a pass rusher this upcoming season.
 
I'm PRAYING that it is Phillips... Without a better pass rush than we exhibited last year, we won't beat the better teams.

Waddle and Eichenberg could end up doing more than Phillips, but we'd better hope that it's Phillips.
 
Waddle.
Parker and Fuller will get hurt. Sorry to say, but history is on my side. At some point of the season, I see that Waddle will be the number one receiver.
 
FloCo can realistically look at 19 possible starters from the last 3 drafts in this upcoming season. Direct draft picks. 3 years.
 
Thats the beauty of having so many early picks, these questions get alot more difficult to anwser.

If we are going that route, Waddle will be hurt too since he has an injury history. So will Tua.

So will X if he plays.
 
THIS is why I generally argue for quantity over a few high picks (You'll notice that I did not say 'quality')... More high picks in the first few rounds gives you so many chances to hit on stars... and busts don't hurt you nearly so badly.

We are ALL counting on Waddle being a star, but if he does bust... and Long/Eichenberg/Holland/Phillips are good... we really won't care.
 
Nice that this is a hard question to answer. Seems like Phillips or Waddle should be the pick, but Long, Holland, Eichenberg, could flash. IF we start Holland, I feel we're asking the most of him.
 
Million dollar question. I'm going with Waddle. He's got the chemistry with Tua and he should get a lot of snaps, even if he's the third or fourth receiver. With Fuller out week one, I would hope he starts opposite Parker.
 
Depends how we define impact.

Waddle has the most potential to put points on the board, but I expect Phillips to have a better season for his position.

After that I think Long will get looks.
