I'm curious to know which time of year you hate most:
a) from the end of the season to the draft
OR
b) from the draft to the pre-season

Personally, it's this time of year that just seems to drag on for eternity...I can't wait for the start of pre-season and of course the actual season.
 
Yea, they both just suck. It's because of the NFL offseason that I have become well-rounded sports fan. I started following all sports about 2 years ago.
 
At least you have college stuff and draft speculation leading up to the draft. We have nothing right now.
 
I would say it is this time of the year that's the toughest football fans. However, I'm very surprised as to how quickly 2008 has gone. Before you know it, the regular season will be here!
 
i'm going to say draft to pre-season,i'm not really a fan of any other sports except football,to me the other sports are just a way to pass the time until football season begins again.

both are boring but the time from the draft to the preseason really sucks..its really nothing going on instead of some cuts, signing of draft picks and minicamps..

and this time of the year got more boring because the nfl canceled the nfl europa..i was a seasonticket holder and a die-hard fan(i will always be) of the rhein fire ..but now there is really nothing..
 
this time from the draft to the preseason is this year not so boring because i can follow the european soccer championship ..everyone in germany is just going nuts:lol:

but i would be happier if i could see my fins playing again:)
 
Both are bad, but I would say the current period of time is worse. There's just nothing to read about until TC starts except for players wanting to be traded or have their contract renegotiated. June and July are the worst months of the year for football fans.

From the end of the season until the draft there is both free agency as well as all the speculation and analysis leading up to the draft. Lots to talk about and debate, plenty of optimism, a lot of things to talk about.
 
Well I watch the NBA, soccer, and football so im well rounded out but for the coming months it will be dreadful.
 
In addition to what has already been mentioned, I don't like this time of year because OTAs are a "tease" to borrow a metaphor.

I think I would hate it less if some key questions were settled. Its impact on a forum like this shows up in the same tired arguments being rehashed. But that is merely a symptom of all of our doubts having to wait to be resolved.

Sorry man. Losing a team you are committed to isn't quite analogous to losing a good friend, but it is sad.

On the bright side, here in the US, we never really had a good alternative. I try watching Arena Football, but I just can't get into it. I think the short field limits two of my favorite parts of the game, the really big play and strategy of a long drive. So, at least you had a team that was local that you could root for if that is any consolation.
 
draft to preseason, as basketball and hockey end in june. all that's left is baseball, never been a huge fan of it. Course i'm a big mma fan but that's usually only once a month. But yeah May, June, July are the longest months of the year.
