Which Jersey To Buy?

How do you decide for today's team? Favourite player? Who is that? Stickability? Most Likely to Succeed? Best Investment?

I have a rule about buying jerseys... Mainly, I dont do it... I'll only buy a jersey of the player is pretty much garuanteed to be with the team for the duratiokn of their career, and we all know that rarely ever happens. The only jerseys I own are a Marino and a Zach. At this point, I would say Long is the safest bet for longevity.

Lets see I have 1 Dan Marino 2 Ricky Williams, 1 Zach Thomas, 1 Jason Taylor, 2 Cullpepper (in my defense I went to Bucs fins game and autographed the one I was wearing so I had to get another), 1 Joey Porter 1 Ronnie Brown... RW still my favorite...

I say stick with the classics or just get a custom.

Marino, Zonk, Z. Thomas, Taylor, Griese.

I'm always skeptical of getting jerseys of new prime time players because they don't last. (Reference: R. Brown, Marshall)

basically what everyone said, unless the guy is a griese, marino, thomas,etc, its not worth getting one.

i got a ronnie brown a few years ago, gone, then in 08 i got joey porter, gone, then i got brandon marshall in 2010, i actually thought we would have him for a while, but obviously hes gone now.

i have a thomas from a while back which does not even fit me anymore but thats a jersey u can wear even though he does not play anymore, and i got a taylor jersey in 07, and to my luck he was traded after that season, but taylor is a guy i feel i can wear as a dolphin fan forever.

until we get a franchise qb, one who we know will be around 10 plus years, not worth it imo

I have a Patrick Surtain, Sam Madison, Chris Chambers, & Ronnie Brown Dolphin jerseys, I haven't bought one in a few years though.

I also have a Mike Vick (Falcons), Steve McNair, Ronde Barder, and stitched Mitchell & Ness throwback Walter Payton away jersey.

Pretty much this.

I own a throwback Marino and had an orange Ricky (tossed it after that whole debacle, wish I hadn't) and a ****ty white Taylor one that is gone now I think, it more or less fell apart. Oddly enough though I don't own a Zach Thomas jersey.

I'd buy an oldschool player *shrug*.

I only buy jerseys of HOF/consistent pro bowl players, doesn't matter the team. I have a Marino, Taylor and Thomas jersey from Miami. I actually bought a cheap Ricky Williams jersey which is one of the few that aren't HOF players.


I have a Manning, Barry Sanders, Brett Farve (GB) and a few others.

I now go a different way, I put my own last name of it. It cost $300.00 but I'm sure that I'll be a Dolphin fan for life.

A hour after I ordered it it hit me that I should of had LikeUntoGod put on it bu they said it was too late.

I mainly have jerseys of players who were with the Phins forever (Marino), or spent most of their careers in Miami (Zach Thomas, J. Taylor), but I also have jerseys of guys like Ronnie Brown, Ricky Williams, Marshall who are no longer with the team. I think the best thing to do is get a nice customized jersey with your name on it, or get a jersey without a name plate.

i caved and bought a marshall one last year because my son was wearing #19 on the field also. so i have two #19s hanging right now, and I prefer looking at my son's (he won a provincial championship with his)

buy zachs or a throwback. if you want a current players wait untill next season since they are suppose to change.
