which of the 7 picks taken ahead of Tannehill are doing better than him?

I said it before and I'll say it again, Andrew Luck was the no-brainer pick of that draft. But, after Luck, Tannehill may prove to be the 2nd best pick in this draft. His draft status was validated early last year, and now he's beginning to look like a steal. RGIII has a lot of talent, but the choice to make him a running QB means he may never have the 15 year career of excellence that he could have had. Even though RGIII was overrated last year and is possibly underrated this year, he is going to have to dramatically out-perform Tannehill for the next 5 years to be ultimately considered the better pick. IMHO, Tannehill will surpass RGIII as a passer for good sometime in the next two or three seasons. Tannehill will very likely have a significantly longer career and be good for the entire second-half of his career, whereas once RGIII's knees/legs give out, he may start to become another of the relatively common running QB's who are unproductive once they become one-dimensional.

Tannehill is definitely going to be a very good NFL QB for many years.

I'm talking about overall, not just this game. Stop assuming because it's making you look like an ass. Cam lead his team to 2 touchdowns and a fg before half which all equaled a win. He also broke NFL records as a rookie. Tannehill has done exactly nothing besides being on pace to break the sack record and lead his team to a below .500 record two years in a row.

I just got called an ass by a guy wearing a Tannehill jersey yet is ripping him. Case closed PS Good thing this is the internet cause you would never say that to my face little man. Done with you not worth arguing with a moron.

I think it is way too early to tell. The guy played what 16 games in college? He has been crushed all year. No running game and 3 starters missing on an already horrible o-line. I doubt we will really know what we have till year 4.

Cam Newton won the game for his team and has him team with a winning record. Stop comparing poo to a young playmaker. Tannehill couldn't hold his jock and that is REAL!

Poo? Come on man, start using your eyes not your preconceived notions.

Newton is a good young player riding a strong running game and a great defense. Tannehill is a good young player riding no running game and a good defense. Both QB's have talent. Cam is the more impressive runner and less impressive passer. Tannehill is the more impressive passer and less impressive runner. But if you think one is "poo" and "couldn't hold his jock" then you really either don't know anything about how to analyze a game, or are just spewing hatred. Neither is really helpful.

Like who you like, dislike who you choose to dislike. But, there's no educated basis for calling Tannehill that. Come on man. :(

Andrew Suck?? LOL You sure know your football!!

Stop going off his rep. Have you seen him play? It isn't pretty since losing Wayne.

I hate these discussions because just like I think Ryan Tannehill is being unfairly bashed on some things, Andrew Luck is also being unfairly bashed on what's going on in Indy right now. He's working with about the same offensive talent that Ryan Tannehill is, which is to say he has one dynamic deep threat receiver, a couple of decent possession guys, cruddy blocking and no running game.

All 2nd year QBs will struggle under those circumstances. Except maybe Dan Marino, but this just in, Dan Marino was one of a kind.

yea cuz the panthers were great his first 2 years....just keep pushing your agenda...the panthers were 6-10 and 7-9 his first 2 years

The pick I wanted....Kuechly...

Who was actually taken just after...so, that makes it even worse!

I love how the blind will bash Andrew Luck when he lost his top WR, has a piss poor running game and offensive line...but use the same stuff to defend Tannehill's struggles.

Can't explain that.

Not surprised by the OP.

Is the OP somehow implying that just because the Colts are losing today that Tannehill is better than Luck? OK...

Glennon is better than Tannehill.

Who was that practice player scrub the Bills beat us with? He is better than Tannehill too.

And Cam Newton sucked last year. He is in his third year now.

44 sacks compared to 23 for colts?
nearly DOUBLE more sacks given up but their OL is about the same as ours?

Glennon is better than Tannehill.

You are not serious or you are not smart.

Would Matt Stafford make you guys happy? They're a .500 club who just lost to TB. How about Luck who got drilled by AZ and has been up and down this year? Kapernick who was called a "remedial" passer by Dilfer. Wilson who leads qbs in fumbles? Romo? Rivers? The dumber Manning? Lots of skilled players out there on teams that are mediocre (Seattle is real good). I mean what would it take for you guys to be happy?

I know...you guys all thought we should have gone O line and got Foles a round or two later. B frickin S.
