Which Player Picked At #2 Would Disapoint You The Most?

We don't need a QB, and neither Smith or Rodgers are that impressive.....

If we don't land a FA RB, or land a starter in a trade, we'll need a RB. C. Benson or C. Williams would be fine with me....

I really think the best value at #2 is at WR. M. Williams or B. Edwards would be an immediate upgrade at WR, and give Linehan a great double threat....

It's hard to tell what's going to happen right now.

PHINZ RULE!!!

For me it is Johnson with the lack of offense we had last year we need to use this pick to improve on that side of the ball

I would be disappointed with anyone who was NOT the best player available regardless of position.

If Saban Utilizes the #2 pick, which name being called on draft day would disapoint you the most?

For me, Its Cedric Benson.

Me 2.

For me its Derrick Johnson. I am NOT sold on him nor do I think he is worth #2.

I dont vote on polls that dont have an other item.

They are all great players and I wouldnt be dissapointed with any one of them.Remember we are just fans .Saban is the professional .Whoever he chooses will be fine by me.He would have reasons that maybe we cant fathom.
Yeah, I understand that, I think most of us would feel that way, however, every fan for at least a minute or two on draft day feels either good or bad when a pick is made, I was curious of the names most likely to be heard at #2, which one would make you feel the worst for that brief moment before your trust in Saban kicked in?

I would say Benson.Too high a pick for a RB IMO.I dont think he would have a long NFL career. There are many other RBs just as good that could be had later.

Johnson, Benson or Edwards

I don't think Johnson has the instincts. An up-and-down the field game like the Rose Bowl and he barely makes the stat sheet?

Benson never looked like a franchise back to me. Cadillac has shown special ability, likewise McClendon when he's healthy.

Edwards would shock me, almost a suspicion Spielman was doing the picking and intent on sabotage.

I live in the West and saw the two QBs virtually every game the last two years. Neither one jumped out as a franchise QB to me. Cal's offense, in particular, has quite a bit of that old Houston/Kentucky gimmick stuff that often frees WRs and backs by considerable margin. Rodgers had plenty of margin of error that he will never enjoy in the NFL. His lack of athletic ability might be shocking when there's no WR cruising 5 yards in the clear.

One poster mentioned Antrel Rolle. As a USC grad but more of a Canes fan, I'm surprised Rolle did not slip more on the draft boards. After the FSU game I thought he was shaky all year, especially in coverage. In fact, there were tons of penalties he seemed to deserve but avoid based on reputation alone. I think he projects much better to safety in the NFL, given how aggressive he is versus the run and making plays in the backfield. If you look at Rolle's build, I think he could bulk up quite easily. Conversely, I doubt he can stay sleek enough to cover top NFL WRs down the field.

i agree.. good stuff

Any of the QB's.

We can get a veteran behind Feeley to pick up the slack if he stumbles and then can use our first rounder next year on a QB. Honestly I'd take a flyer on a QB in the later rounds this year and see what Linehan can do with them.

I think you made your point Bluefin. You candidate Aaron Rodgers is the least objectionable while almost everyones elses candidate Benson in the mock drafts is among the most objectionable .

I'm not a Derrick Johnson fan.

But, I won't be disappointed at all b/c Saban by the time we make our pick, Saban will know more about these players and the Dolphins needs than every poster on this list combined. No offense, but, that's the way it is.

I'll trust Saban until these guys bomb on the field through their 2nd year. Until then, I'm not going to be that disappointed. Most disappointing for me would be actually picking 2nd and not getting extra picks from what we have now.

Derrick Johnson, I hate the idea of taking an OLB especially if Greenwood is re-signed. I think Kiper has him rated as the 10th best prospect or something. Alot of Dolfans want to see the defense re-built, but the offense was pathetic last year, out of the offensive players I would say Braylon Edwards because of the recent history of UM wideout's being busts. If a 2nd rd pick is acquired for Surtain, I think a QB may be the logical pick with the possibility of a RB with 1st rd talent slipping until the 2nd rd because of the depth at the position. I really wouldn't hate the idea of drafting Marion Barber, Ciatrick Fason, Vernand Morency, or Eric Shelton in the 2nd rd if a pick is acquired for Surtain instead of Benson, Williams or Brown.
