I've read posts saying that, no matter what you think of an addition, once he joins the team he is a Dolphin and deserves our respect. However, this is far from true as we all know. There are few who the majority here really likes. A closer look.

GM & Coaches- Hickey is liked by most, revered by some but, he is a draft away from being ripped, and was far from our first choice. Philbin was liked by most his first year but, support dwindled in his second. Lazor will be the answer, although he has never called a NFL play but, he is new. Coyle is OK by most. Rizzi was great until ST's did not play well last year. Benton is the savior, although his OL was terrible in Houston last season. Krein as S&C is safe, having done a great job.

So, Coyle and Krein are safe with some experience.

On O, Tannehill has had mixed reviews. Moreno is good until he plays, Miller has mixed reviews, and few like DT. Wallace and Hartline have the same mixed reviews but Gibson and Clay appear safe. Albert has mixed reviews, OG is questionable but, Pouncey is safe.

On D, Wake is kinda safe with some wanting to trade him. Starks and Odrick are also safe. Vernon has some mixed reviews, as does Jordan. At LB, Next. At S, Next. At CB, Finnegen and Taylur have mixed reviews but, Grimes is safe.

On ST's, Sturgis is under fire as is Thinpen. Fields may be the bes overall liked player on the team.

So, to review, Krein and mostly Coyle are good, with Hickey, Lazor, and Benton thought to be. On , we are all good with Gibson, Clay, and Pouncey. On D, we are all good with Starks, Odrick, mostly Wake, and Grimes. On ST's, Fields has no questions from anyone.

Everyone seems to agree that we have 8 player to build from. Everyone else is debatable.

To be honest the only player that I haven't heard that should be traded or cut is the long snapper John Denny:err:

Tannehill.. I think he has the potential to be a top 8-10 QB later down the road.. He may never be elite but he can be a good one. Worst case is he is an above average starter.

I loved the Knowshon Moreno signing. I've been saying on here all offseason he is the back they needed to pick up

I like Clay as an H-back or "F" as a move guy, but he is not an inline "Y" tight end. Part of the reason why the running game was abysmal

I ripped the Albert signing, but in hindsight it was a good signing. I wanted Veldheer for less $ but he isn't a proven commodity, only had 1 good year in 2012. In the West Coast Offense, Albert is a better player than Veldheer, or Monroe

Love Wake and Starks, Odrick is an above average starter Vernon is a JAG but what more do you expect from a 3rd rounder.. Misi is a good 2 down Sam linebacker

Wheeler/Ellerbe... lol

Love Grimes, think RJ will have a bounce back year (he needs to play in the box more and less single high)

IMO the flack heaped on some of our players is more reflective of the frequency and stridency of a hard-wired minority than the sentiments of the often more moderate, less participating majority.

Given that, without any quantitative basis, I'd say that the majority favors Tannehill, Wake, Pouncey, Fields, Starks, Odrich, Clay, Gibson, Matthews and Grimes off the top of my head. IMO there's more of an "I could be more pleased but let's see how the season plays out" reserved judgment on our coaching staff consensus than there is condemnation. I think the opinion of Ross is more or less split down the middle and the majority would prefer to see us play at a more home team friendly venue. Too soon to tell about Hickey although he was very few of our first, second or third choices nor nor the incoming FAs. I'd say 100% of FH is rooting to be pleasantly surprised about our new GM. While I don't think anyone is enthusiastically onboard when it comes to Wallace, I also don't believe there's too much ramped up animosity toward him...merely hopefulness

Hm...

If I didn't log on to Phinheaven, I never would have learned that.

Never know where you may learn something from but, no matter, learning is always a VG thing. lol As far as Phins being used as a shortened version of DolPHINS, it has been used since the team's joined the NFL. FYI

WOW the one player that everyone seems to love around here that to me is the most overrated player on the team is Misi. Can't believe you didn't bring his name up. He hasn't made a game changing play since he put on a fins uniform yet everyone seems to think he is the one LB that doesn't need to be replaced.

All I hear is that an edge setter isn't going to have the stats that the other LBs should have, and I understand that not all of them lead their teams in stats but his stat line is by far the worst of any of our LBs. He can't cover to save his neck and he is the worst pass rusher on the team. He hasn't MADE a play that didn't fall in his lap since he has been here. I hated the pick when it was made and have been disappointed the more I see of him. He sits back and lets plays come to him rather than trying to make a play. He plays LB like Nolan Carroll played CB, just not as good.

But now that I got that off my chest, back to the OP. I think Koa is someone everyone but me seems to love, although for the life of me I can't understand why.

I think most everyone still likes Simms though the jury is still out on him, and I think you would be hard pressed to find someone that didn't like Shelby.
