Hello, we are trying to settle a disagreement on another forum and decided to get an impartial veiwpoint from the dolphins fans.

Here's the question.......

You are an NFL GM in search of a qb. There are two available for you to sign. Tony Romo from the Cowboys, or Jason Campbell from the Redskins.

Who do you sign? Romo or Campbell?

Thank you for your time guys.

Personally, I'd take Campbell. He was a stud coming out of HS and I always liked him at Auburn. He had hightened expectations forced on him by being picked by the Skins higher than most felt he would, but he showed great promise last year. I think he'll be very good this season.

Romo is extremley overrated (I'm tired of cowboys fans considering him a top 10 QB)... he is bad in third/fourth quarters, he sucks in two minute drills, he makes bad decisions when he needs to make something big happen and after four great games last season teams adjusted for the following matches and he played bad. The reason why he was so surprising is that he is the opposite of what Bledsoe was (Romo is more athletic and he can get out of the pocket) so when Drew was benched he changed the whole perspective of the Dallas offense and some teams were not prepeared for that change. I like the fact that he is able to get out of the pocket but that will not work if he doesn't learn how to move inside and outside the pocket (in other words: follow his linemates' blocks). He is not that young, he was not a rookie and he is not getting any better in my opinion. Maybe he will learn how to read the defenses and how to move in the pocket and then he would get slightly better. Again, he is not a good passer.

About Campbell, I have not see him played that much but the two games I watched him as a starter he made some good long throws but he sucked in the short passes. He doesn't have a really strong arm and he kind of reminds me of Quincy Carter (don't ask me why).

I would not like any of those two but if I have to chose one I would pick Campbell.

Campbell is younger and more fundementally sound. Plus he showed a lot more promise with those attrocious Redskins last year while Romo collapsed in the second half of the season and playoffs. Take Campbell if you're starting a franchise, not Romo.

campbell by far to me.romo could be a one shot wonder like they were showing on NFL Network earlier today.

Definatly Campbell. Romo sucks, and as said before, he's overrated. Not to mention that he dropped the snap against the Seahawks. (And he cried about it)

I'd take Campbell. I think he has a lot of upside. I feel Romo is very over rated. And he played that way last season too. Everyone always falls in love with the back up QB. Thats all he was.
I just don't see building a team around a back up QB.

Campbell, because Tony Romo is the biggest joke of a 'Pro Bowl' QB that I've ever seen. He's AVERAGE, and that is almost a stretch. Romo is not a top 15 QB in this league, no way. Give me Campbell and his upside.

No matter how you break it down, they were both essentially rookies playing last year and Romo had a QB rating 20 points higher. I think Campbell is gonna be a pretty good qB but right now I'd take Romo. Granted everyone remembers him bobbling the snap, but people forget he lead the Cowboys down the field to set up the potential winner.
