There are a number of different possibilities that the Fins have for starting QB next season. Out of all them who would you prefer and why?

We are in big need of finding a QB for our team because we don't know what to expect from Culpepper. With that being said, the former #1 pick could be available for only a 3rd or 4th round pick. We have a bunch of draft picks this year and could easily afford to send one of them for Carr. He had the highest completion % in the NFL last year playing behind a terrible O-Line at best. He got sacked an average of 50 times a season and he still was able to throw the ball effectively. To add to why he would be good for the Fins is because we have a way better supporting cast than Houston. They are just a franchise in trouble. His only legit offensive player was Andre Johnson. How much could you possibly do with only one good receiver, no running game, and no offensive line? The guy did the best he could with what was given to him. No QB could have done better with the team he had. Sometimes guys just need a change of scenery and it doesn't get much better than Miami. We have a very solid running game, an improving offensive line, and a above average receiving core. If all we have to give is a 3rd or 4th round pick, it would definitely be worth it. He's a lot better than Palco or Edwards that would go in those rounds. Plus he's still young so there is a lot of room for improvement. He started all 16 games for the last 4 seasons even after getting beat up. So he's tough and durable. To me, Carr would be a great addition for this team in need of a QB.

I am all for carr too, last year I would have prefered carr than culp, but now if we could afford culp, carr and a rookie and trade cleo that would be very great.

The ideal situation to me would be to draft Quinn and start him with Green as our #2, Lemon as our #3. (Edit: Actually the ideal situation would be for Cpep to make a healthy comeback and destroy the rest of the league but I'd still draft Quinn or Stanton.)

Quinn doesn't need to sit a year. He's ready to go.

I also wouldn't mind drafting Drew Stanton and leting him sit a while while Green takes the reigns this year.

Carr may be a great quarterback with just some solid talent around him but I'm reluctant to take that chance.

Green is the perfect QB to groom Quinn or Stanton and start for one years as long as either Quinn or Stanton are on the roster to take over that same year ala Jay Cutler or the following year. I am not in favor of aquiring Trent Green unless we are damn well making sure the future QB will be on our roster this same year.

I love pick quinn too, but for the 3 years from now before he could start I would prefer carr than green.

my dream would be , culp, carr and quinn and cleo traded for a 3eme rounder or a 4eme rounder.

Hopefully we'll found out from the person that matters most tomorrow.
Please no more CPEP babble... "he's out here working hard every day."

I'm kind of leary on that as the same thing was said about JH. But we do need somebody because I do not think Culpepper will be 100% this year. Best case scenario would be to get a future QB and a good veteran that can teach him for a year or two. And again, I don't think Culpepper can be that vet as he will be too busy trying to get his career back on track and rightfully so. Miami is probably not the place for him to do that as he was a high profile signing and that amounted to some pressure for him to start when he wasn't ready. You can bet that Saban had something to do with that since he was under scrutiny for picking Culpepper over Brees. I think Culpepper needs more time to rehab and should not be put into the same situation he was put in last year. Well, that's my opinion for what it's worth.

Green/Lemon/Zabransky/Hamdan/Vick

Next year: Draft Colt Brennan or Brohm

Trade Lemon or Zabransky, whoever has the highest trade value by next year, unless one of them really, really, impresses; then of course keep him.

As it stands now, we can not afford Green or Carr. And I'm tired of giving up draft picks and tons of money for retreads. If we are going with a youth movement then go all the way and think about tomorrow and the future. If we can't get Brady Quinn then draft a defensive end or linebacker then go for Drew Stanton in the second round.

I'd love a healthy determined C Pep but it doesnt sound as if he'll be healthy. Therefore I picked Carr.
