Vince Young, Matt Leinart, and Jay Cutler are the definite top 3 QBs this year and one will drop out of the top 5. the Texans are sticking with Carr and therefore will draft Bush, the Sanits could draft one of them, the Titans will grab Jay Cutler or so I hear because he is their hometown boy and Fisher was coaching him all week in the Senior Bowl. the Jets won't grab a QB that high as I believe they are content with Pennington and will grab a later QB especially if Cutler's gone. GB and SF won't get QBs neither will OAK or BUF.

from my estimates one of the 3 QBs will be around for the Lions and if we were to trade up to #7 with OAK we could grab one of them if we wanted which I want a QB so I would. I think Young or Leinart will fall to #9 unless someone else trades up. Thoughts?

look i love cutler, but he doesnt deserve a top 5 pick. he will drop and should. probably around 10.

leinart will go to new orleans and young will go to tennessee. cutler is the only one who could drop. no way does he go to tennessee.

Leinart has already fallen as far as he will go. If he would have come out last year, He would have been the #1 draft pick. This year, he is in the top 3.

The assumed sky-rocketing of Cutlers status was built upon a senior bowl performance that was supposed to separate him above the rest. It didn't. He was the 3rd best QB in that particular game. Cutler should be a late 1st rounder, early 2nd rounder...but, as always...overvaluation happens.

Vince Young has that Michael Vick thang happening...except Young is a better overall QB prospect. Young should stay in the top 10.

To me, it looks as if Cutler stands to drop. Some people have said that Leinart was the odd man out before the Senior Bowl, while others have been concerned about Young's mechanics. Anything could happen, and the combine may help to sort things out.
The Raiders and the 49ers have yet to do a coin flip which determines who picks #6 and #7 respectively. I think the Raiders are a legitimate threat to pick a QB (especially if Young is sitting there).

I dont think cutler ever got to 5 and under. I think he solidified not getting passed us. Unless Saban ends up trading the pick that is...........

word is the jets are in love.......but not at 4. Can you say trade down? This is going to be a fun draft.

Cutler.

His meteoric rise was sudden and built on air. People predicted a Riversesque performance in the senior bowl and it didn't happen.

Unlike Rivers, Cutler's rise took place mostly in a month where he didn't actually do anything. The senior bowl put a speed bump on it... and some reports indicate that the practices weren't as golden for Cutler as others have said.

I still think Cutler goes in the first round, but that the frenzy around him dies down a little.

The calmer heads of the actual team people (who aren't talking now) will prevail. Cutler doesn't go in front of Leinart or Young.

That's my prediction.

Regarless of who drops to where I just don't see Saban moving up.He knows he needs more than one single player to win it all so he'll keep his picks...in fact, I think there's a better chance of us moving down than moving up.If Greenway,Cutler,Ngata and Huff are all gone then I hope we do move down, maybe in the mid 20's and get an extra 2nd or early 3rd.I'd love to get 4 players out of day one, specially since is Nick and not Wanny making the picks. We could get a DB,O-lineman,an OLB plus a QB.

Ozzy rules!!

Did anyone catch Merrill Hoge on ESPN's Football Friday show - he said that when it was all said and done, and coach's had time to really disect Vince Young's mechanics - Young would fall in the draft similar to Aaron Rodgers or worse. Again, I'm just relaying what Hoge projected - I think he went as far as saying that if he were a GM, he wouldn't consider Young before day 2.

Personally, I don't see it happening - but I imagine there was a time last year many thought there was no way Rodgers would fall so deep into the 05 draft as well.

Couldn't agree more.

Remember last year when Leinart said that he wasnt coming out, Aaron Rodgers was a concensus #1 and Alex Smith was supposed to be a 3-4 rounder. Turns out they couldnt have been more wrong...even though thats probably how things should have played out. There was even talk that the Fins would grab one of them. It could certainly happen again...not as many people want QBs that high in the draft as everyone expects, especially with such a deep talent pool. Not to mention the fact that there are some BAAAD teams at the top of the draft...

Count me in that "many" group. Last year I said Hoge was a loon for predicting a Rodgers fall and I said the same thing to Boomer when he predicted it the day before (or maybe the day of) the draft.

If it can happen to Rodgers then it can happen to Young...
