Heads: Miami has a solid defensive secondary
Tails: Miami has a weak receiving corp
With so much focus on the QB battle, the question that could make a marked difference is whether the Dolphins are weak at receiver or strong at DB.
Reports during the early stages of training camp have told us that receivers are being jammed up on the line, taken out of their routes and dropping passes (could be stone hand syndrome or mental issues due to the DB's getting in their heads).
If you say Heads, than Miami may have a solid receiving corp with an outstanding secondary (meaning only those special start quality widouts are going to get any separation)
If you say tails, than we may have a situation where the DB's are at best mediocre and receivers (who didn't impress me last year, but that is only one opinion) who are just bad.
What happens when the intensity is raised and receivers need to deal with the possibility they will get laid out going across the middle. Do we see even more dropped passes?
Finally as an aside, how long will it take before the Oline gels enough to provide consistent protection. This is my biggest concern. Without this, who cares who is standing behind center throwing the ball as they will not perform at a high level with defenders constantly in their faces.
As for me I am leaning towards Tails. I am not sure, but what was lost last year in our less than stellar season, was the number of dropped passes by the receiving corp including Booker.
