Which SINGLE specific aspect of play, if improved, would have the biggest impact?

Ya know, I meant to specifically state to spare me the predictable "more fist pumping" or "less fist pumping" comments, but forgot. Clearly that was my mistake.
Why? That was funny...

without question is the lack of pass rush which has exposed the secondary.....Brady went back to pass 50 times and was touch twice......nobody can cover NFL receivers for that long.....on offence the bigest problem has been the lack of protection as Henne has been sacked 11 times which is on pace to break the all time team record and he's not even holding the ball, he actually has ran with it many times or it could be worse.

Ozzy rules!!

You gotta get Colombo out of there . . . period. He is the biggest detriment on this team right now.

Maybe it's not the frequency of the fist pumping that is the problem. It might be that Tony is not fist pumping hard enough. C'mon Tony pump that fist.

lots of issues on this team right now. the biggest two I think are covering the other teams TE's, and the O-Line (colombo/carey/incognito)

Offense - Play Action. All aspects of it from the fake to the accuracy to the catch.
Defense - Is there ONE specific play? TE crossing routes.

Sure I would love pressure on every play, fact is that isn't possible. We can do better at putting pressure on the passer . . . no question about it . . . but I am wayyyy more confident in our defense turning it around over this oline improving with Colombo playing RT and Incognito whiffing on blocks 2 or 3 times a game. We need to sure up that RT position ASAP . . . and if Vernon Carey is healthy enough to kick back out there do it . . . hell we are bringing in Nate Garner for about 40% of the snaps as a 6th OL, just put him at RT and see what he can do.

Pass coverage, which includes the pass rush.

Rushing the passer seems to be the common thread here.

Maybe they were mislead because our D line practiced against a bad O line (minus Long) all training camp and were over confident about their ability.

Now they must blitz in order to get ANY pressure and that leaves the tight ends wide open across the middle.

Dansby is not 100% and Burnett hasn't made a play yet. Wake is dominated by first a rookie then a 2nd string right tackle. JT is just plain old and ALWAYS jumps offsides at least once a game. Paul was overpaid and seems to have lost his desire. Stark is the only one playing with some fire in his game.

There in lies the problem. Our front 7 was susposed to be the strongest unit on our team and one of the best and deepest in the NFL.

They haven't lived up it that and in fact , as you guys pointed out , is now an exploitable weakness.

Answers ? I don't have any and so far neither does Nolan.

FG kicking. If the Rookie from Dallas can hit 6/6 on MNF and a clutch kick to beat the skins. Theres no reason why our Pro Bowl kicker can't make kicks he normally makes in his sleep. We can talk about redzone troubles, drops, or bad o-line but we beat cleveland with a FG, and possibly the texans if Dcarp can make both of those chip shots.

Leadership.

Someone's got to step up and take charge.

Everything else will follow.

I agree.. let's see some fire, let's see some pride and accountability on the football field and on the sidelines.. from the players. And I don't mean finger pointing after busted coverage or poor tackling. I mean rallying the troops.. leading by example (making plays), and lighting a fire under the guys, instead of sitting there slouched over.

Play with fire, grow some balls, play like every play may be your last. Because if they keep it up, there are going to be a few players bagging groceries at Publix if they don't get their **** together.

On the bright side, I have a very high opinion of Publix and their employees in general.

Nothing like having a go-to customer service desk where you can get weekly per diem
checks for 100+ out of state employees cashed right after a ****ing hurricane.

You will never hear me utter a bad word about Publix.
