Hagan or Roth?

I personally think that I have higher expectations for Roth this year. He really started coming into his own towards the end of last season. I expect him to be a fix in that line after this year.

Roth is in his 3rd season he was drafted in the 2nd round 3 seasons ago we did not have a 2nd round pick last year we gave it up for daunte.

Yea, Jason Allen was a 1st round pick. Hagan at least contributed a little bit as a rookie, but that was expected being stuck behind Chambers, Booker and Welker.

I'll answer that question with a question of my own. Who will our starting Qb be? Trent Green or Damon Huard?

Uncalled for, the thread is just fine.

Back on topic, I believe the guy who should have higher expectations is Jason Allen, he was a first round pick and thus he's expected to contribute right away as a starter or at least be fighting for a starting spot.

We need Roth to step up opposite of Taylor. We need Jason Allen to also play up to his #16 draft pick, hopefully moving over to his 'original' position will help.

Just because you fork out $10 or w/e a year does not make you better than us. There is nothing wrong with this thread. I personally agree with the OP about Roth but also think Allen needs to prove his worth whether he is at S or CB.

I'm hoping both Allenand Hagen make an impact in their sophomore year. I think the pressure will be greater on Allen because of his draft status and the weakness of our secondary. Hagen, apparently, has been working hard. If he can get his act together he could be a steal for us as a third round pick. But for many receivers it is the third year that is their breakout season. And speaking of third year, I expect Roth to have a great year in '07. Offenses will be concentrating of stopping DPOY Jason Taylor and Roth should have some open roads to the QB. He needs to take advantage of them. I am hoping he hits double digit sacks!

Dude, I agree with the masses. That was totally uncalled for....:ninja:. Do you feel better after this post?

To everybody else, dont let that tarnish what the VIP is...it is for some, and not others, which is fine. Not better or worse, just different.

Now then, although it has been pointed out that Roth is not a "True Freshman" I like the ideology behind the thread.
Roth, Hagan and Allen are three guys that could make or break the season.
I think they as well as the Oline are gonna define what we have....

Hagan and roth yes, I think Roth has a better chance of making a bigger impact because he should start so with that said he should have a better season. However I think even more crucial is the play were gonna get from Jason Allen. IMO we need him to be able to run with some of those fast WR's that we will face this year. If he can just run around and make some plays that will really help our secondary- thus our season.

The real question which 1st round pick really has to step up Ronnie Brown or Jason Allen
