Fans blame the qb at every turn most so called football experts will at the very least acknowledge that Orton is a good NFL qb.

exactly my point.. so you're saying the fans don't know what they're talking about in Miami, right?

....and i'd venture to say that many of those same so-called "football experts" this time last year placed a much higher ceiling on Henne than on Orton, the guy they may consider as a league Top 22-24QB.

I would still agree henne has a higher ceiling than orton although his basement is quite a bit lower also. Many qb's with great potential never do a damn thing. Orton is a good qb and he is a guy that will not lose u games and if u give him a good offensive team and scheme could quite excel. People want to discount Orton and he lost his best weapon last year and went on to have Loyd have an amazing season late year after never being xlose to those numbers his whole career. His offensive weapons were much closer to clevelands than ours. if our defense was giving up 49 points and among the worst in the NFL it would be stupid to blame our qb at all. I do feel Henne deserves some of the blame because he made some bad throws but I think more of our blame falls on our coaching at the top and OC level and dont see how keeping our coach or hiring a OC that ranked worse than ours will help. Also would have been smart to hire a Qb coach that had actually developed an NFL qb but of course we do things our own sparano like way.Playing qb has alot to do with confidence and the way we are going henne's may be shot who knows.

that's fair enough, and you're certainly entitled to your opinion although I believe it's of the "grass is always greener outside the Aqua/Orange." However, we'll agree to disagree on relative ceilings and floors. But even more pertinently, if one of those Broncos Orton detractors who, unlike you watched his every play were to tell you that you don't know what you're talking about going into detail about putting defenses in bad positions instead of vice versa, 60% 3rd down career QBRs, 4th down ineptitude... does that make him any less astute than you?

I found the Jets roster-how would you like to have this depth at QB? Sanchez, Greg McElroy and Kellen Clemens

well when judging any qb you have to llook at the big picture like what situations put him in those third downs and so on. I wont say I have watched every down of Orton last year but I have watched orton since a rookie and my eyes tell me he is a good NFL qb. As for 4th down ineptitude if u have to pass on a 4th down u basically are going into a losing battle most of the time. One of the biggest problems with Orton on third down is he doesnt have a possession typem receiver to bail him out or any other weapon that he can go to. He had fringe N FL starters at every receiver position and a poor running game and that does help put u in great shape on third down.

As for the grass is always greener , what i do find amazing about orton is he rarely turns the ball over even on a really bad team. He has never had more than 13 interceptions and considering the offensive talent thats an excellent achievement. I have like dOrton since he came out in the draft and was quite dismayed we drafted Travis Danials instead of taking Orton who I thought had potential.

wouldnt be thrilled. sanchez has shown promise mostly in playoffs, I like mcelroy as a developmental guy and Clemens well he is no worse than Moore but is that saying anything.;

Beck is injured, ruh roh! Redskins are a lock for the "suck for luck race". Their QB situation will be great next year.

Redskins. Looks like John Beck may be starting.

Redskins
Seahawks
Bengals
Bills)
Dolphins)
Jets)

Looks like John Beck may be starting. Yep, And Beck is Better then Henne...... We made a Huge mistake letting Beck go,Shanhan knows Qbs, and he even said during one of his pressers, Beck was not giving a fair chance in Miami .. Beck said they told him he would not be giving a fair chance to compete with Henne, So he asked Parcells for his release. and that is the real reason Beck was let go, not because he didn't have talent,Beck will Surprise a lot doubters this year.:hump:

The worst?

Only Seattle has a worse QB situation. Even Beck and Grossman are upgrades to Henne. I wouldn't be surprised if Tavaris has some upside and may be actually better as well so either worst or second worst for Miami.

because beck is starting for a horriblev team that makes him better than a qb that beat him out in camp. I mean beck is so awesome he has been cut by us, basically cut by balt and did not see the field last year as the thrid string qb yea he is awesome

All of a sudden our QB situation doesn't look that bad after all.
well not sure its much diff than Washington.
grossman and henne may be a wash and they have qb castoff and we have qb castoffs cant say either team comes out ahead at qb.

Oh come on, you have to admit Henne's better then Grossman? Not by a landslide but still, he's better.

really and how do u figure that basically both qb's have similar td to int ratio, Henne has a better qb rating but nothing to brag about. I think henne will be better but at this point cant say Henne has played better than Greossman
