I just noticed today as I was checking up on the current rosters throughout the NFL. I have to say...IMO I believe that Carolina makes the best moves to replace the players that leave in free agency.
Here's a list of names:
Marlon McCree - went to San Diego. Replaced by Shaun Williams from N.Y. Giants
Brandon Short - went to N.Y. (released). Replaced by Na'il Diggs from G.B.
Mushin Mohammad - granted they went a whole year trying to replace him in 05' I.E. Rod Gardner who went to G.B. Now they have filled that void in Keyshawn Johnson from Dallas.
Will Witherspoon - went to St.Louis. Replaced by Keith Adams from Phila.
Brenston Buckner - released (no team yet). Replaced by Maake Kemoeatu from Balt. On top of that added more depth to the position by signing Damione Lewis from St.Louis.
Jeff Mitchell - (no team yet). Replaced by Justin Hartwig from Tenn.
I would say the only void that needs to be addressed is the replacement to Stephen Davis. Possibly LenDale White from USC could be that guy...however, since the "torn hamstring issue" came into play, its still yet uncertain where he will land in 06'.
