Albert or Collins and Schwartz. Albert contract is roughly the same as the contracts of the other two.

Deals are done. Why bother with "what ifs". I am happy with Albert and hope we can add a few more pieces.

It doesn't matter Albert has signed with us. We need offensive line help we signed an offensive lineman.

No, I just thought our new GM would know what the market value of players would be and have a comprehensive plan. I also want to know which plan those people would prefer. 95% of this site is Monday morning quarterbacking anyways.

What we paid for Albert was market value and like Hickey said, Branden was the target from the first day he arrived.

So, what's your opinion? Which plan of action should we have pursued, Albert or the other two?

Basing your reaction on what the players were paid after the fact doesn't get you anywhere. Did you know before free agency started that Collins and Schwartz were going to get paid what they did in comparison to Albert?

I'm not a GM, but if I were I'd hope I'd have a good idea what each of these players are worth and approximately what these player will get on the market. From everyone's reaction I think I know which option everyone would prefer. I personally think it's on the GM to have the vision to foresee how FA will play out and implement the best plan of action for the team. Discussion like this are simply entertainment and we aren't really getting anywhere anyways.

We got Albert because that's who the gm and coach targeted so we roll with him.

So what you are saying is that the GM should have waited to see how the market plays out before making an offer to Albert? Have you forgotten about the "legal tampering" period that started on Saturday? That is when all the GMs were able to ascertain the market value of many of the top available free agents. Schwartz made one visit and signed with the Giants immediately. Collins may have gotten more but decided to take more than one visit and as a result had to settle for what some might consider below market value.

It's easy to say what we could have done after other players signed their contracts but that is not how it works in real time.

We should have not signed Albert and then missed out on Collins and Schwartz and then had a poll if we should have signed Albert!

That's it right there. Finheaven fans never happy.
