Why is it that everyone in the world always talks about how many championships a qb one. Last I checked football is the ultimate team sport. There are 22 other players on the field in which one side of the field the QB play is irrelevent. There is also a coaching staff that calls plays, puts in a system, coaches up players. A front office that puts the right players on the team. Garbage in bad drafts, fa equals garbage out 3 win teams. All of those things have much more too do with a teams super bowl success than a qb. Many super bowl winning qb's are either average to good in the playoffs not great. In basketball 2 or 3 great players can carry a team to a championship and has more impact than 1 great qb. A great pitcher has a much more greater impact on a team winning a world series than a qb. Bad o-line play, dropped catches by receivers, no running game, fumbles by rb and defensises giving up time of possesion and points along with horrible playcalling will rob any hall of fame Qb's title hopes. I believe many people have drank the kool aid of sports radio announcers and tv anaylst that stir the pot bragging about qb's winning or not winning the superbowl. It burns me when I hear people that really have never followed the dolphins or Marino talk about him never winning a superbowl. His defenses were always in the middle or bottom half of the leauge. He only had one 1000 yd rusher who that year averaged under 4.0 yds per carry(Abdul-Jabbar) in 1998 while on the downside of his career. The most illogical talk in sports burns me up.

One...or won? I stopped reading right there.

If a typo that I didn't proofread bothers you that much then by all means friend don't read.

Two reasons: Fantasy football & media.

Both of which have very little to do with actual football along the lines of what you mentioned as, "the ultimate team sport". The media likes to spew the QB vs QB matchup non sense as in if they somehow play each other on the field and follow it up with a TMZ-like celebrity debate. And fantasy football ... I won't get started but in short it has ruined how fans perceptually view and talk about the game. It's all about offensive playmakers; nothing else matters in "fantasy" land.

It's the most important position on the field so they usually get too much credit and too much blame.

someone like Dan rarely had enough help to win, someone like Manning has had it almost since day 1. All QBs need help to win.

Yeah I'm pretty pissed when they say Manning outdueled Brady or vice versa this is not MMA or boxing.

That was truly some logical, revolutionary type content right there.

I also want too add there are a lot of casual football fans that really don't understand the game. There is a downside too football being so popular uneducated football fans.

22 other players plus the QB? Wouldn't that make 23 players? You must be one of those casual fans. You know, the uneducated kind.

Haha, and you can't brag about any QB except for that drunk Joe, and he really built his legend on one game
