There is no doubt that Pat White can throw the ball, but how accurate is he when passing?

I think you have to go back to his VW days to check that out, he threw for over 6000 yards, so he must be pretty accurate...I think while learning a new system, and new receivers he's been a little eratic this offseason, but like most QB's, once he's comfortable in the system and it slows down for him, I think he'll be more consistent.. But sometimes QB's never really get comfortable in the NFL and he may remain a bit eratic, who knows, he has time, we'll see, but if he plays like he did in college, we should be in good shape. At least we know he throws a good deep ball, but he has to get that short and intermeditate throws to click to be really successful.

His career pass completion percentage of 64.75% set a school record (minimum 200 attempts), topping the old mark of 61.6% by Marc Bulger (1996-99).

Almost 65% completion for 4 years...I'd say he can be accurate.

Well from his college career his accuracy was a positive but to me I think things done in college are a lot easier done then in the NFL and same with the CFL (speaking on Wake behalf). To me i believe Pat White accuracy might fall into 45-60 range, but with Penny out there and White being to nice dude he is and wanting to learn Penny might be able to get his accuracy from 55 through 75 range. I like last year how Penny stayed after practice and went over things with WR of 08. I also think Henne, White, Turner, Heartline, and Penny and the rest of them to should stay after practice this year. Maybe get some defense players (preferably non starters so both can learn) to try to block them to work on the aggressiveness to get after the ball. Its all about making chemistry.

Man.. I really hope Henne takes the same approach to building a team chemistry. As least I know that he's already working much harder ever since Penny has showed him how to prepare for a game.

He needs work on the consistency of his foot mechanics, which guides the accuracy. Probably needs work on his shoulder aiming.

Very true did you hear about Henne coming in six weeks before anyone else before ota's.. Once i heard that i put the biggest grin on my face.

Chemistry might not seem like a big deal but i think even an awful qb knows his WR and his WR knows him then that qb might not look as bad.. Example remember when TGJ was going long, Chad threw it short of him and the i think the jets had 2 people blocking TGJ. He went back right between the 2 and caught it. thank god in our case we don't have S***ie qb's so chemistry would be a plus.

I know everyone heard about Penny getting his wr after practice and in result his accuracy was his second best for a team he just started on. Now to add to that chemistry TGJ personally worked on getting open quicker within 10 yards and foot work knowing that Penny is arm strength is not the best.

TGJ will also be recieving passes from Pat White. White can throw the football longer then Penny which means good news for TGJ. TGJ strength is able to go long be open which will also put defenses on their feet.

Chad Henne is honestly a younger Penny with same the smarts, a better arm, accuracy, and fewer injurys only thing he lacks is Pennys experience within the NFL. I hope Penny is giving Henne pointers to stay away from injury because if Penny did not get injured like he did being afc east champs again would be easy.

Two more things that would certainly put us on top.

One I really hope when Henne becomes the starter that Penny would be his back up.

1st it will take stress off of Henne knowing someone good has his back.
2nd Penny can teach him better as henne is getting experience.

Two Dan Marino needs to be a qb coach. If that happens watch out because dolphins may just have one of the explosive offenses around. :woot: can any one explain to me why he wouldn't? I know it is unlikely but i really wish it would.

We shall see on the accuracy. Many a qb running a spread has had a great completion percentage. John Beck and Alex Smith were at like 70 percent and neither have shown a great level of accuracy in the pros.

It is way too early to tell. It is clear that he needs work on his throwing mechanics, but that is expected in a rookie. We will see him a lot during the preseason games. I still think that is too early to make a judgement, but we will know how ready he is for the season.

Yea he can't aim his shoulders or feet or whatever for crap as evidenced by a 66% comp in sr year. We should cut him now. We got JT back so the pick was really unfair anyway...

He was ranked 14th in the NCAA in comp % but 68th in Yds/Attempt which points to me that most of those completions were short dump offs (he average only 10.2 yds per completion overall). So what does a 66% really say? That he's really accurate throwing 8 yds down the field?

Yea, like I said we should cut him. CUT HIM NOW HE OBVIOUSLY SUCKS AND WILL NEVER BE CRAP AS A FOOTBALL PLAYER and FIRE PARCELLS & IRELAND & SPARANO.
