can some-one explain just why we are bringing in James Robinson at this time. We seem to have an excess of WRs at this time. I'm not saying that any-one we have right now is or could be a #1...but do they mean that this 6'3" canadian leag. wr is better that our first three (Ginn-cam-bess) or our draft picks.....does any-one Know anything about this young Fla. WR.....and just why do you think the FO brought him in for:confused::err::ponder:

It's probably a message to the rookies that if they slack off there's always someone else to fill their spot.

Sacrificial Lamb for the preseason.....someone has to go over the middle and if some rook wants to make a name for himself....They can do it at Robinson's expense

BUT...for who and WHY....we have ..what...8 or 9 on the Squad right now and robinson wasn't draft or on another NFL team?????
because competition never hurt anybody. It's for all of them. I see nothing wrong with bringing in new people and evaluating them against who we already have.

why? just turning over another stone here. you never know what type of contributions you can find. anyone remember Michael Lewis of the Saints? he was a beer truck driver before.

2 words....FRESH LEGS!

I recalle 2 a day practices when I played...it is ROUGH!
He is simply camp fodder with fresh legs.

We have four open roster spots...

Omar Kelly just tweeted that he was told by the Phins that in his workout with them, James Robinson busted off a 4.29 in the 40, and so they signed him.

My guess?

Being the burner is a role on this offense. That role is occupied by Ted Ginn. The next best burners behind him were Anthony Armstrong, Brennan Marion and Chris Williams. Brennan Marion re-tore his ACL, and Armstrong has slowed things up now that the pads have come back on. So, you replace a burner Brennan Marion with a burner James Robinson.

yes of course Camp Fodder is obvious choice and so is competition.

But always good to know who is out ther and their capablities in case injuries start amassing early on.
Chubbs

One injury and James Robinson has a legit chance of making the team...so I hate just thinking of a guy as camp fodder.
