I do not watch a lot of college football, therefor I am not in the know on the talent coming in next year. If anybody could post some guys and their respective positions that would be killer.

I have seen a lot of people discussing the need at RT and/or LT. I think that we need to pick up a center. Does anybody else agree

D'Brickshaw Ferguson
Eric Winston
Marcus McNeil
Joe Thomas
Jonathan Scott
etc.

D'Brickashaw Ferguson is gonna be a stud in this league.

Agreed.

I believe 5 tackles will go off the boards in the 1st this year. Good year to get a tackle.

I'd love to see us ditch mckinney and take Greg Eslinger in the second round.

Its all about Marcus McNiel... 6'9" and 350lbs!!

He is an absolute monster!!!

D'Brickashaw is going to be the next Orlando Pace. :)

I cant see Nick going OL early. It has become sort of the popular thing on this board to blame the OL, and talk about fixing the OL and OL this.. OL that.. but to be quite honest, it has been one of our best positions all year. We practically hardly ever give up sacks, we are running the ball well... We do NOT need to use a 1st round pick on a OLmen, unless we end up early enough to grab D'Brickshaw (which we wont). Anyway, all Im saying is that I am sick of hearing about improving the OL early in the draft. If we want an improvement, go for the real deal and sign a guy like LeCharles Bentley or Steve Hutchinson, two young but proven pro bowlers. Enough drafting olinemen on day one- we have done it for the last few years and it has set the franchise back, quite honestly. Saban will take the right approach, and grab guys Houck likes on day two, or go for the bang and improve just one spot on the line through F/A. But I am starting to think we may be better of spending the money elsewhere.. the line has been GOOD and getting better every week. Hudson may be a miracle man after all.

IMO, in round one we will shock the unknowledgable (the ones who still see us as a good defense and nothing else) and draft D- either a LB/S/CB or Dlineman (probably tackle, not end). Saban needs players to play his system. The D we have relied on for so long is aging. We need firepower on that side of the ball, young kids who will play their hearts out. You're seeing it with Travis Daniels and Channing Crowder. Look at (depending on where we pick) guys like Michael Huff, Jimmy Williams, AJ Hawk or Chad Greenway to be our pick. The O is a QB away from being VERY respectable. We will address that through free agency, hopefully, with a guy like Carr, Rivers, Brees..

our oline is doing well but we can prob get andrew whitworth with athird and he is a solid tackle out of LSU

The OL as a whole has been playing decent, but it still leaves a lot to be desired, particularly from the LT and C positions. Given the wealth of quality LT's at the top of this draft, it makes sense that we would grab one of them.

I agree, though I think saban will draft a mid round QB if he gets a guy like Carr..or a late round QB if he gets Brees or Rivers

Obviously D'Brickshaw Ferguson is the prize of the linemen for next year. However, Eric Winston out of Miami has bounced bakc nicely from his injuries and should be high on the list as well. Depending on where we draft, you may see us take a linemen just based on sheer value.

We have a TON of cap room for Saban and Mueller to work with to help fix some holes via free agency and trades. Depending on who comes available, you may see safeties, corners, and linebacker and QB's added through those transactions which would allow us to draft the best possible player regardless of position ( other than RB of course )to the squad.

yes... the line needs a young, smart, talented center to lead this offense... the center needs to be the fastest and smartest lineman to get to the second level and pick up the blocking assignments, seth i dont think has shown ability to acheive this at even a mediocre level even though his play has gotten better recently.
