Who are the Top 5 Most Hated Dolphins of the past decade (2000-2010)?

Anyone putting Fiedler on their list need to open their eyes and look at the big picture. He had very little natural talent, but played his *** off every effing year. He got hurt, worked hard, and came back stronger on more than one occasion. (In a span of 5 days in 2003, he came back from injury, led us to a comeback against the Redskins, and then lit it up on Thanksgiving against he Cowboys.) He was given the task of replacing one of the greatest quarterbacks in the game, and responded with leading us to four consecutive winning seasons, despite having one of the worst coaches in the game. He went head-to-head with Peyton Manning in the playoffs and beat him. We got more production per talent level out of him than anyone in recent memory.

Thank you Jay for everything you did

Well said. Great post!!

Here are 5 guys I hated:

Gibril Wilson
Reggie Howard
Ray Lucas
Dan Henning
Dave Wannsteadt

Nobody should put Jay Fiedler on here at least he tried and gave effort. Wasnt his fault that he was our starter for what 5 season? He was told to go out there and play.

Idk this is a tough decision to put only five on here.

I am jjust gonna list the crap.

AJ Feeley, Ted Ginn, Culpepper, Ray Lucas, David Boston, Derek Hagan, Ernest Wilford, Lamar Gordon, Joey Harrington, Chad Henne, Reggie Howard, Will Poole, Jason Allen, Jamar Fletcher, John Beck, Brian Griese, James McKnight, Stockar Macdougal, Donnie Spragan, Channing Crowder, the list goes on and on

I was one of the bigger Jay Fiedler fans but let me tell you, if we could have ever got somebody halfway good to play the position in the early 2000's, I think we could have had a ring. That defense was top notch and Fiedler would get off to a good start in games and just do **** the rest of the way . . . especially in pivotal games. Thanks goodness for Lamar Smith or who knows the last time we would have won a playoff game.

Well yeah, he never had the talent to lead the Dolphins to a championship, but he still gave it his all on every play of every game and I'll always appreciate that.

Although you are right about winning in the early 2000s. The 2002 team was stacked from top to bottom except for two spots; quarterback and head coach. (Although lets not forget the 3 game losing streak we went on when Lucas took over that year.) If we had consistent quarterback play (or at least consistently healthy qb play) and a head coach with half a brain, we would have won the Super Bowl no doubt.

Henne BLOWS

1. Henne
2. Ireland
3. Sparano
4. Cam Cameron
5. Culpepper only because we could have had Brees instead

In alot of ways it was similar to what Henne is facing today. Some people may look at it as no Henne is worse . . . but this organization was only w/o Marino 2 years before 2002 and weren't as hungry as they are now for a QB. Fans today would have eaten Fiedler alive, just like they are doing Henne . . . because they understand we need an answer at the QB spot and the guys on the field haven't been good enough. I don't buy when people say Henne doesn't have heart . . . the guy got hit leg took out because of his OLine was sucking, wanted to come back 4 days later and give it a go and then gets on a plane 5 hours west the following week and puts on his best performance of the season hobbling around. He could have easily said his knee is still bothering him and took time away but he gave a damn to get back up and try to win a football game for the team.

Fiedler might have been the best quarterback we've had since Marino, and given it his all, and yadda yadda... But he still sucked. I don't "hate" the guy per se, but I still think back to all his boneheaded INT's at the most crucial point in games, and wanna rip him a new one.

Ted Ginn
Jason Taylor
Anthony Fasano(for trying to hurdle every defender)
Gibril Wilson

Don't really have a 5th

Fans back then were eating Fiedler alive, too. The guy sucked and people always made fun of his huge dumbo ears. We the fans have known since Marino retired, that QB is a position that must be addressed, and here we are 11 years later and every ding dong that has been in control of personnel has refused to draft one in the first round. Sad.
