Who are you waiting to see first Offense or Defense?

I was just wondering about what all you Phins fans were waiting for first. When we kickoff against the Redskins do you want the offense or the defense to take the field first. I believe that most will want the offense to go on first especially since that means Ginn gets the first touch of the season which we all are dying to see (atleast i am). BUT I feel that our defense is the pride of our team and it is proven to be good. Even with our bad secondary play last year we managed to be 5th overall. So i think if the defense goes out first we will see a punt and that could get us some good field position to start our first drive of the season. But who knows Ginn could give us great field position in his own right, but im still goin with D-Fense!

I'm a big offense fan, that's what I've played my whole life and it's what I would like to coach when I get to be that age. But in terms of the Fins, I want our defense on the field first. Let's give them the oppertunity to make a huge play early or if not, get us a 3 and out and put Ginn on our own 40 waiting for a punt. Take control of field position early, we're going to need it in that Washington game.

I think it depends on what part of your team you have the most confidence in. In our case, it's obviously the defense because they are light years ahead of our offense. But the Colts, they most likely want their offense on the field. I also think it's important to be the first team to score. That way you can play your game and the other team is the one that has to adjust.

Normally I would say Defense. But just this once I will say Offense. Wouldn't it be awesome if Ginn took it to paydirt with the first kick off of the season. Kinda set us up for the year wouldn't it.

I've always thought this is the way to go. If your defense is strong then why not??

I play on defense. So naturally I want to see our defense out first. With Joey out there and Matt Roth getting a chance to start, I can't wait to see how they work together as a unit.:saberfigh

Wow, how things change. All through the 80's I was wishing we could have a D like the Giants, and now all we want is some kind of Offense. I think that is why Offerdahl was so coveted. If JT had played back then for us, he would have been a bigger superstar than he already is.

Well, hopefully, if the Redskins kickoff, our defense will take the field first for the Phins, if you get my drift.

Being an old H.S. QB I just love to watch offense. I think more of it has to do with enjoying the way the offense was run with Marino---just pure excitement, the feeling that we could score anytime we wanted. Another factor is that Ronnie Brown is probably my favorite player on the team.

I love Taylor and Thomas. I love getting Porter. I love the intensity of Roth. Sometimes, I take them for granted, but what excites me the most is an 80 yard, 10 minute, 12 play scoring drive, highlighted by a power running game, and PA passes. Oooooooh, gets me all tingly....haha
