Who are your "puppies" (or "calves" using the true Dolphin term, thanks for the correction) amongst the new guys (free agents or draftees or UDFAs) that you are pulling for and will be sad (maybe not surprised, but sad) if they don't make the squad?

I'm pulling for Marion (at least PUP or PS), Ellis, White, Green.

Who are your "puppies" amongst the older guys who are "on the bubble" and may not make the team?

I'm pulling for Bess (I think he is a lock) and Cammy.

I'm rooting hard for Sean Smith. I've been writing about him since november last year. I saw his size and speed as completely unmatched and he really produced this year for Utah, he can be nasty on the cb blitz too.

Pat Turner i like alot too, even though he was taken early, it means that he showed our front office alot of good material. If he can impress the front office enough to spend a 3rd rounder on him, I think pretty highly of the guy, especially when he's been playing well in camp..

Bess and Camarillo are still my boys, i also hope cobbs gets more carries this year..

I think everyone is on the bubble with this FO. If they can find somebody better they will. If someone would have overpaid for Ronnie he'd have been moved and a new RB brought in. Our FO don't keep puppies. They do like hard working lunch pail guys and I agree Bess and Camarillo fit that bill. I think the new sculpted Bess (no man crush but dang he looks good) tells me that he is concerned for his job with all the other puppies being brought into the pen. The bosses like competition and we saw last year with Feely just because you're a veteran who has performed in the past you have no guarantees (especially if you can't keep quiet).

I think all of us have "pet" Dolphins who we like, whose jersey we get, who we pull for to make/stay on the team. That's what I was trying to chase out with the thread. Sometimes I think we may get a little too attached! The life span of every Dolphin (even the immortal Dan Marino, may his name be forever esteemed) is finite on the field, if not in our hearts.

Grove and Bess. I really think Grove has something to prove and Bess is the man. Just watch his old Hawaii days. I cant rule out Ricky and Ronnie either. Did I mention Long? Theres just to many "puppies"..

i thought this was a thread about dolphans (ladies) showing there puppies. wow that got my attention.

I'm rooting for our two drafted receivers, Turner and Hartline.

for some reason i think turner will turn out to be a great find. i don't know why i just have that feeling. we shall see.

Louis Ellis. With the problems at the position, I really do hope that he comes good for us and challenges Solai for the reserve spot.

Really do hope he is the Devone Bess of this years UFA's.

I'm personally pretty excited about Davis. I think he's going to turn out great.

I think Davis is the most underrated value pick in the entire draft. Were it not for "red flags," he would have been a top-10 pick. On top of being a superior talent, he's a superior talent that's suited to our system. Looking at teams like the Steelers, Ravens, Chargers, etc., bigger CB's seem to thrive in the 3-4 system. It's extremely rare, though, to have a CB of Davis' size and athletic ability. Off the top of my head, I can't think of any CB playing today that has Davis' physical attributes.
