I am curious on this....

Gaine is well respected because well he scouted and got Wake before anyone else.

but i wonder who picked up and thought wheeler would be right for this team.

Simple awnser.... we have no idea. However the team would have scouting reports for things like that so ross knows

Dude, everything negative now belongs to Ireland. The victors write the history.

As if the coach was in charge of scouting, put the agenda aside.

Hold on....you don't think that at the very least, Joe wanted to change out Burnett and especially Dansby? You are a hitting yourself if you think Joe did not want to change those two out. You want to blame JI or Gaine for Wheeler? Fine. However, maybe they would not be in that spot if Joe did not want the two vets out.

Guess you haven't heard Hayden .... Philbin had no say in personnel. He's just an innocent bystander with no will or ability to affect the roster. Ireland and Ireland only called all the shots.

i doubt Joe Philbin had that much to say about the Defense. Sure, he's the head coach, but it's more likely that he listened to his DC on decisions of players on the defensive side of the ball. That's just my opinion.

i only say that because he's an offensive minded coach

Sure as hell wasn't me. I said he had no instincts and couldn't get off blocks and took rations for it...

You know he had no use for Dansby. That is not Wheeler's spot, but it is related.

Who the hell decided Ellerbee was worth his contract definitely not his former team. I would love to read where Gaine out of every scout was the one that all of sudden realized that Cam wake was destroying the CFL.
I know there were plenty of scouts there and obviously not one saw him as the stud he is now.

Not the GM, thats for sure. So take your pick out of Joe, Dawn, Hicks, Parcells, Gaine and throw Xander in there.
