I just got done watching the 1983 Dolphin special I had Tivo'd earlier this year. I forgot how many injuries we had to endure that season, especially on defense. The defense had to switch from a 4-3 to a 3-4 b/c of the injuries.

Anyways, it got me thinking...who can we least afford to lose on our team since the depth seems to stink right now. Please give an offense and defense.

Mine:

Offense: Vernon Carey (he can play most positions on the line and is our best O-lineman. Plus O-line looks to be thin)

Defense: Sam Madison ( we are thin on corners, I almost picked JT here but I believe we have some DE's & LBs that can pick up most of the slack there)

well, if your talking in terms of lack of depth, than i guess madison. but if your talking in terms of value to the team, i think Z. Thomas is at the top of my list.
second to chambers.

I agree..if we took out the depth part of the equation, it would be Zach on defense b/c he makes so many tackles. I believe we have some LBs that could get it done though. This would be a hard hit to the Fins however.

offense: Chambers, if anyone
defense: Madison

Why Chambers over Vernon? If Vernon goes down our O-line gets even weaker which means no time to throw. If Chambers goes down, we still have some decent WR's...granted nowhere near Chambers quality.

the cheerleading squad, because if this year was like last year, I want something to look at!!:bugeye:

Helll, put some strippers out there and some very good camera men.

Madison has been playing marginal at best.. hes ran past so many plays, and seems out of position to attack the ball carrier..
its a shame that hes the best on this team at that position.
i think I would be more worried about losing daniels actually.

Even better...I went to an XFL game in Orlando...almost all the girls in the stands were drunk and pulling their shirts off. Must have been a lot of UCF girls in the house.

It was a toss up b/w the two. I put Madison b/c of leadership.

welker hes gonna make big plays on third down this year, chambers because besides wes hes the only reliable reciever with speed, ronnie brown because he is potentially the future of this team, not sure about sam, he may turn out being our weak link in our starting backfield he is making so many mental mistakes giving our opponents big plays, hopefully we get that corrected

i just finished posting exactly the same thing guess you and i agree about sam, saben says the mental errors can be fixed but madison has been making them for years and they always seem to cost us BIG!

Defense- Keith Traylor Think back to last year no Bowens, no Chester opposition running it in the middle for 3 - 5 yds a pop. Zgonina and Holliday can man the other tackle spot but if Traylor goes down one will have to slide over ot take his spot. That means Romero, Wright, and Vickerson. It also means Zach playing games wher he has 15 -18 tackles all 5 - 10 yds past the line of scrimage.

Offense - Lets face it the #1's except at wide receiver and possibly running back are not significantly better than the #2' and 3's. The reality is we are not going to score td's in bunches maybe 2 per game if we are lucky and 3 in games where we are lucky and the defense is putrid at best.

I think we can ill afford to lose Olindo Mare I think he will get many opportunities to kick long field goals which is how the team will score the majority of its points this year.
