Who care about the drop kick.

Don't know if this is the proper post or not but I've seen this dumb*** dropkick by flutie a thousand times against my phins. Am I the only one who could care less about this stupid move. Last time I checked it was still worth 1 frickin point and doesn't Vinateri make like 99.9% of his extra points anyway. Sorry for the rant but what's the big frickin deal? :fire:

I would have bothered me if they it did when they were easily winning but I thought it was kind of like admitting defeat so I thought it was funny

I didn't mind the drop kick at all. I thought it was fun and saw it as sport between two coaches that happen to be very good friends.

I love my Phins also and I was not offended at this.

A lot of people made such a big deal out of it because 99% of people probably didn't know what the hell a drop kick and have never seen one in their life. I think the majority of our players on our defense didn't know what was going on. I thought it was kind of cool and unique, since it's like a one time thing that hasn't been done in over 60 years. I don't see the point of it other than to show off, it still only counts as one point and you're better off going for two point conversation... but I don't know. I thought it was kind of cool, but that's just me.

yeah but does it merit all the time its getting on the sports shows. Jason taylors look to me says it all. Anyway i was offended because it seemed that Bellicheck did not care about the game. It seemed disrespectful to my phins. Won't happen next year............:dolphins:

I wasnt offended either, i saw that as the pats trying to get Flutie in for his last game and the drop kick was the perfect opportunity to seal his career.
I just had to smile when he drop kicked it. :bugeye:

Enjoy it as a football fan.

Ask yourself this question... if Zach Thomas or another player you love had done it... would you still be upset by it?

I wouldn't. I think it is a very cool thing... as a fan of the game of football.

And I'm pretty sure no one on the Dolphins would agree that it was disrespectful... and if the "victims" don't... why on earth should I?

Believe me. Bellicheck knows this only to well.

I have drop kicked my whole life but have never seen it in a live game. I thought it was awesome. How cool is it that the coach with the tightest buthole in the league allowed a player to attempt something not tried for 60 friggen years. And THEN Flutie, in a game...a real, modern NFL game, puts it through the uprights. I was jumping around, hollerin' and celebrating with him when it happened.

It was funny at the time but since ESPN has been on the bandwagon it has just left a sour taste in my mouth.

the guy that caught the football has made rediculous demands for it. The NFL wants to put it in the hall of fame and the dude has made outragous demands for it's return. something like 100,000 plus season tickets and a jersey with all the players signature on it. just caught it real quick earlier today

Good for him! I hate the NFL. If it wasn't for the Dolphins, I'd watch only high scool and college.

He needs to document it and sit on it for a few years. Squeeze every dime he can from them.
