I would love to see how all my other fellow DolFan's feel on who they would love to acquire at the WR position this offseason. Who's jersey would you want to rock? Me personally, I would love to see us trade up a little, trading some players that aren't fitting in our system (ex. J Allen and a 3rd or 4th pk) and draft MICHAEL CRABTREE. He is an all around player, long ball, quick slants, etc. He's not afraid to get hit, he lowers his shoulder to pick up 3-4 YAC. He's fast, powerful, and smart. He is NOT a diva WR, he goes out and plays and doesn't run his mouth causing team drama. Most importantly, he really does have heart for the game.
Crabtree is a player Parcells would love b/c of all that, he can develop to be one of the best WR on Sunday's b/c he'll listen and learn. He won't come in just saying throw me the ball. He'll learn how to become a Sunday player just as well as he does on Saturday's now.

I know I sound like a Crabtree groupie or his agent, but I just really believe he would be a perfect, perfect fit on our team.

Or do we pick up a FA? But who, TJ and Bolden will stay where they're at, Ocho Cinco may be available to us, but does BP want him? And will he fit?
I like him in 2005, not this version now tho. But maybe he can reform like Moss and T.O. did to their current teams.

So anyway, what do you guys think? I love to hear what all us fans think.

No way Chad Johnson. Some on this board still love the guy but no thanks. And there is no way they get Crabtree. Won last til they pick. Id love Housh if it were possible. Who knows, they need to blow it up in Cincy.

crabtree would be amazing, if we could get him. Out of the free agents, I would say TJ houshmanzadeh.

crabtree is out of our reach. i dont think parcells and the boys will be willing to trade picks or players to move up unless the guy was an absolute guarantee.

look at some of the other guys that will be available.

Jeremy Maclin WR Mizzou
Percy Harvin WR FL
Darrius Heyward-Bey WR Maryland

all have first round potential. you can even find sleepers in the later rounds. a great example is bess who wasn't even drafted

boldin in FA for me is our best choice. we will have the money

i wouldn't mind Chad Johnson myself...i don't know obviously, but i think&believe the reason he's acting the way he is, is because he wants out of Cincy, and wants to finish his career playing for his hometown team, and he has a few good years left in him...he'd be my FA WR pick...i think he'd settle down and go back to being the Pro-Bowl WR he is,if we were to get him,but that's just my opinion...now as far as the draft's concerned...it's hard for me to say because there are going to be some good receivers in the upcoming draft that have the size&skill to be a number 1 WR in the Pros...so i'm going to have to do some thinking on that one...

There are plenty of WR's in the draft that I like. Demetrius Byrd (LSU), D.J. Boldin (Wake Forest), Greg Mathews (Michigan), Brandon Lafell (LSU) just to name a few.

Of course there is a concern that he will be 32 next season, but I am intrigued to pick up T.J. Houshmandzadeh as a free agent. He would look great playing opposite Ted Ginn.

1. Plaxico Burress. . . okay, I'm just kidding.

DRAFT

There are a number of free agents and potential trades but I would rather just draft a couple and hope one of them is a hit.

well i would be happier then a pimp in a room ful of whoes with a wad of doe, if we could get Macklin and he would be perfect for us.
I am a huge Crabbtree fan and I also love the rb Shannon Woods kid he is a really good runningback I would cut Parmalee and draft Shannon Woods and another rb.
there is no way the dolphins will draft a te but i would love to see a big te like Brandon Pettigrew play in fins uniform he doest get enough passes thrown his way but he so much more athletic then Martin he would be a dominating pressence that the fins dont have at all , at least on offense.

I'm intrigued by Demetrius Byrd, D.J. Boldin, Darrius Heyward-Bey and Ramses Barden in the draft.

Free agency, wouldn't mind Housh.

untill this team goes after a MICHAEL CRABTREE instead of
waiting around for some 6th rounder to be a pro bowler we
will average 17 points again next year, and next, and next, etc....

wr'd produce the MOST td's, they are responsabl for the most points
and big plays.

we dont have that in miami.

just once, i want the finz to make a move UP and grab a big time player
like crabtree.

Crabtree
Dez Bryant
Quan Cosby
Jeremy Maclin
Eric Decker
Jordan Shipley

I'll take any of those...some will be there in round 2....

I wish we would make a leap at someone like chad johnson. Even someone like Marvin Harrison who the colts will try to unload but may still have a few good years left in him. Problem is we don't have a No. 1 receiver.

Is Boldin a FA? I always get confused. If so, sign me up.
