A for more guys will re-do their contracts like JT and Thomas. If all of this does happen, then exactly how much money would we be saving?

Bowens resigned to a very cap friendly contract last year, and he had a nice year converting to Nick's defense. Frerotte will restructure. I dont see James being cut.
 
we're more than likely going to keep Ferrotte unless we're positive we're getting a top notch QB through FA. Cause Sage is a FA as well.

The lack of a new CBA from what I understand due to the NLTBE's makes it nearly impossible to redo JT's deal, but yeh barring a new CBA all the guys you mentioned (with maybe the exception on Jeno), many guys who have busted it for this team, will be on the street in a high supply market.
 
yea deff keep gus hes our if all fails back up plan, i believe gus could still guide us to the playoffs if we dont get the qb we are looking for

Ferotte will stay for now, he is our plan B if we cannot get a QB, other than that your list is pretty good.
 
My guess is just enough to get under the cap untill we figure out exaclty what will happen with the CBA. Just cuting Mcintosh and Tebucky would save us $10,775,000 acording to ESPN which would probably put us under the cap.
 
Can someone explain to me what the reprocussions if the Dolphins go rogue and decided to ignore the cap? Is there some sanctions in place for being over the cap? Fees? Fines? They can't play any televised games?

What is the punishment for being over the cap number?

Not sure what the punishment is. My bet is some sort of fine and possibly losing some future draft picks. Something I think happend like that to the Broncos a couple of years ago, and they lost draft picks.
