Who Do You Have For Day 2?

Here's my board going into day 2 (we pick 16 so I'll go 16 deep)

3. DK Metcalf, WR (not a need, but GREAT value and his Dad was a fin)

I don't recall Terrance Metcalf ever playing for the Dolphins. His grandfather Terry, is one of my all-time favorites from back in his Cardinal days.

We're in a good position to pick up another decent starter in an area of need.

I don't expect Cody Ford to still be available but there are some good OL options in Erik McCoy, Dalton Risner or Elgton Jenkins.

Byon Murphy, Greedy Williams and Rock Ya-Sin are all CBs who could have edged into the bottom of the firt round so would be a decent pick, as would Taylor Rapp at Safety.

Finally we can double down on the DL and take an edge rusher in Chase Winovich or Oshane Ximines

Trade down!1! Just kidding. If anything, I’d trade up to land one of the players still available.

well, looking at who is left, what teams needs are etc, I think those gone will be
Cards - fergusson DE
Indy - Williams, CB
Oakland - Samuel WR
9ers - Metcalf WR
Seattle - Ford, OL
Jags - Taylor - OT
Tampa - Murphy CB
Buff - Smith, TE
Denver - Lock
Cinci - Love (CB)
Detroit - Nelson DE
Pack - Campbell WR
Rams - McGovern
Colts - Rock Ya-Sin DB
Panthers - Risner OT

Miami should look at either.........Eric McCoy, Centre; Zach ALLAN, DE, Chase Winovich, DE, Nate Davis, G. Will Grier, QB.....maybe.

OL seems obvious in round 2. Expect a Xavian Howard like second round trade up to secure a guy.

If he sucks, we'll be in position to draft one next year.

It took this team 7 years to move on from
Tannehill, do you really think they or any one can properly evaluate a rookie QB in one year surrounded by an offense devoid of talent?

Pass on wasting a second rounder on Lock when that pick can be used to get a starting olinemen or starting cornerback.

WR and CB were avoided in round 1 so there could be an early run on both positions in round 2.

How I would rank for Miami...

1. McCoy
2. Risner
3. Byron Murphy
4. Cody Ford
5. Rock Ya-Sin
6. Greedy Williams
7. AJ Brown
8. Jawaan Taylor
9. Conner McGovern
10. Taylor Rapp
11. Deebo Samual
12. Ben Benagu
13. Elgin Jenkins

That's a good list to pick from

any of those except for Taylor and I'm happy but add Ximines to the list

What would it cost to move up 10 spots?

There are no guarantees that any of those QB’s will still be highly sought after, healthy, or available next year. If they like Lock, they should take him.

Stop it. There will be multiple highly rated QBs next year. This "no guarantees" narrative is old.

MIDDLE LINEBACKER, sorry for the caps, but as Dr. Greenspan would opine, it is my "Irrational Exuberance".

Second Round at 48 Mack Wilson ILB / Te'Von Coney ILB (Coney if Wilson not there)

However, along with Tre Lamar, Vosean Joseph Germaine Pratt.

Remember, the Phins have to be able to stop New England's running game, at least in my opinion. I will tell you what, if they pick a ILB, I will be insufferable. :chuckle::chuckle::chuckle::chuckle:
