What I mean by that is that last year, so many people on this site raved about how good Leonard Henry was and that the only reason we weren't seeing his ability on the field was because he was never given an opportunity playing behind Williams, Minor, and co. People rolled off stats from his days at ECU (8.3 YPC or something like that) and that was enough to show them that he would be our answer at RB.

My pick: Heath Evans

hey leonard henry actually did show us something atleast. that game against the jets was pretty nice to see.

I'll go with yeremiah Bell.

Leonard Henry didn't do any worse than anybody else last year. He actually outplayed Minor, and so did Brock Forsey. Henry started to get some good runs and then we didn't see him again until the Buffalo game, where he fumbled in his one carry, sealing his fate. He ran a lot better than Lamar Gordon.......

Don't tell me that you still think he's good and deserves to start! You didn't start that thread did you?

No, Leonard Henry was not an NFl starting back. But it did frustrate me that Travis Minor got a hundred chances to do anythign last year, and he maybe had two good runs all year. Henry was the first back out of Morris, Minor, and Gordon to give us any resemblance of a running game, albeit after a few games where he was a non-factor.

I'm glad posters are sticking up for Leonard Henry. He is a slashing runner with decent speed and some very good skills, and also finishes off runs well. I don't care if the Jets cut him subsequently or where he is today. The league doesn't always get it right. I guarantee Henry is better than plenty of backs who will make NFL rosters this year. Admittedly, Henry is a bit of a long strider and not the greatest blocker.

I'll concur with Yeremiah Bell. I hesitate to evaluate our secondary personnel because of all the blitzing up front and the different cover schemes and responsibilities that entails. Got to take time to learn and mesh as a unit. But Bell doesn't jump out as special in the brief times I've focused on him.

Another nominee, if he makes the team, would be Lorenzo Diamond. I just don't like the pedigree, already 26 years old, languishing on someone else's practice squad then supposedly making an impact here. He doesn't block well and I think it would be a mistake to keep him over Lee.

Realistically, we shouldn't expect too much from Diamond, who will be our backup TE. It's one thing if he is a starter and does nothing, but a lot of guys get dissapointed if a preseason star doesn't do much in the regular season, when really they aren't getting oppurtunities.
