I know this is a bit early, but I don't think that matters in this case. Just wondering who everyone thinks will be our breakout player in 2010-2011. This years Randy Starks basically. We have a lot of potential in our team. Some candidates that quickly come to mind are Henne, Hartline, Bess, Camarillo, Vontae, Sean Smith, Hilliard, Turner, Solai, Clemons, Ginn, and Wake.

Personally I think the guy will be Bess. He improved from an exceptional rookie year and seems to have even more upside. They say on average it take a WR until his third year to break out. This guy is a quality player for us and truly has GREAT hands. He may have dropped some balls here n there, but he has been a excellent WR from day one. I expect a big year from him.

Second I'd go with Wake because of the Nolan hire. This is pretty self explanatory I think.

Wishful thinking is that Henne goes nuts and breaks-out. That would be best case scenario obviously.

Before you all go crazy. I'm not guaranteeing this will happen, it's just an educated guess. I know how some people can be around here. :tongue2:

Chad Henne will win us a lot of games next year imo. I think his stats will really improve and his leadership will be unquestioned.

I would like to see henne break out but less we get him a big TE and a true #1 WR I don't see him breaking out. Maybe Cam Wake in mike nolans defense

i think it will be a player in our secondary. Either Sean Smith, Vontae, or Bell. My money is on Vontae right now.

I say Davis on D and Hartline on O. My second picks would be Wake and Bess.

Although Bess kind of already had his breakout season when he was a rook, unless he go's over a hundred rec for 1,000+ and about 10 tds he's not really going to shock anyone around the league.

Same go's for Henne, he kind of had a mini breakout this year and would need a pretty huge year in order to really surprise anyone.

That's a good list. I would add Phillip Merling. Looks like there is talk that he could be switched to SOLB meaning more playing time and a chance to showcase his immense talent more.

The Don, you got it with Hartline and Davis.

Hartline's strong work ethic and skills will flourish with more time with this offense. The kid was making plays, and the coaches will give him the chance to do so this year. I know some of you out there are with me on the fact that after last years draft you weren't sure what to expect from Hartline. You knew he could run and catch, just not so well on the NFL level.

Davis was pretty raw making obvious mistakes yet you gotta believe the experience this year will help him learn. Add in Nolan's presence on the rest of our D to hopefully help them out back there.

Wake, strictly a pass rush specialist for another year, Nolan is gonna let him loose and get after that quarterback. Why ask a sack master to drop into coverage? Sick him on the opposing quarterback. The guy is a pass rushing pitbull, we all saw it this year, with VERY limited snaps too. Probably a small factor in the Paul P. firing. Get your best pass rusher on the field.

we should let Cam Wake do what we did with porter a couple years ago when he got 17 sacks
